or maybe I am being a freak and shouldn’t care. I don’t even know what it means to be the IT girl. It might be a good thing, but I don’t think so cause no one wants to be IT. I think it means if you are IT, you are hot stuff or you are always wrong so in my case it means I am always wrong, should be used to it by now but it still stings.

Gwen was sick so she came home from class early so I didn’t have to go get her. She found out about my move and wanted to know why she was the last to know. I didn’t say, but isn’t she always? I told her that at first, the boys thought we were joking, so that is why they didn’t tell her. But I am not joking, I just hope nothing happens to totally muck it up.

Someone who’s blog I read on a regular basis had a major problem with her laptop and had to reinstall the hard drive so has lost everything that was on her computer. She mentioned today the she had 500 pictures. It reminded me that I haven’t put any pictures on my hard drive in a while, so I quickly got it and put the pictures on. Fortunately there was still enough room. I didn’t put my ‘phone’ pictures on because those are all on Picassa. So now my pictures are safe. What else matters?

>lots of little stuff

>I am going to have a lot of things to put together when I get home but I keep thinking of things, as Tigger would say, I am having random thoughts. Like my windshield wipers don’t slap they click, I noticed that when I was driving yesterday, ‘click’ the wipers go up and down ‘click’, ‘click’ the wipers go up and down ‘click’. And I was up so late last night. First I was updating my pictures in Picasa then when I made my last trip to the toilet I saw the washer and remembered I needed to hang my wet clothes up which meant I had to put my dry clothes away got that done then went to bed. Then this morning I had my makeup case in my hand to put in my backpack for work but when I got on the train it wasn’t in there, so now I have naked eyes. Don’t look at me!

And now before I go to bed I have to address this book I sold so I can mail it tomorrow. Instead of doing that I am playing with my MP3 player. I think I messed it up and will need to replace it. I have no idea what I did or how to fix it.

Also, people are reading my blog! I got a counter and it goes up by ten everyday. Now I know some of those are mine, I also know I don’t check my blog 10 times per day! So now I am going to finish up some things, then I am going to bed.

Oh and I am such a dummy! I copied the songs on my MP3 player to my computer, re-synced them and the problem was still there. I started playing around with the player and went into settings, there it was, I hit on playback range, it had been changed to Selected Range instead of All Range. And here I deleted my playlists for nothing!

>Wanda’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman, ‘I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you a check.’

‘Oh, by the way don’t worry about my dog Spike. He won’t bother you, but whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot!’ ‘I REPEAT, DO NOT TALK TO MY PARROT!!!’

When the repairman arrived at Wanda’s apartment the following day, he discovered the biggest, meanest looking dog he has ever seen. But, just as she had said, the dog just laid there on the carpet watching the repairman go about his work.

The parrot, however, drove him nuts the whole time with his incessant yelling, cursing and name calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled…

‘Shut up you stupid, ugly bird!’

To which the parrot replied, ‘Get him, Spike!’

See – Men just don’t listen!

>we have a tank in our office. Well actually we have several, but this one is in my immediate area, with a big black and red fish Oscar. Every so often someone decides Oscar needs a tank mate and it usually does not end well. Last week someone put a fish in with Oscar and this morning it is belly up on the bottom of the tank. Maybe Oscar just got hungry over the weekend.

>Evening

>I went to church and then I went to the gym. I feel so much better now. Not so slug like. I also went to Target. I don’t know if I mentioned it here, but my head was itching whenever I used the Paul Mitchel hair products. So I gave the one I bought to Em and went to Target to get Aussie. I also got a pair of leather mittens and gloves. I don’t remember if I still have a pair from last year, so I just got another one. Now I am looking at the bag with my winter stuff in it and there are two pairs of gloves in there. A nice pair, and a worn pair. The worn pair is the warmer of the two gloves and it is the one I use when I pump gas in the winter. Although, since I now have the garden gloves in my car, I might just keep on using them.

I got the second dress from Chadwicks. I got it a while ago and just have not worn it. I hadn’t even gotten it out of the package until this morning. Since the other dress was tight around the arms, I was a little worried this dress wouldn’t fit. Well as you can see, it fits just fine. I am trying to look like a model in this picture. I better keep my day job!

These is one of the dresses I posted about on my old blog. I don’t know if I mentioned the other dress came in first and it fits o.k., but is a little tight around the arms. I don’t know if that will ease up as I lose more weight, it is not so tight that I can’t wear the dress.

>On to other things.

>I did get some things accomplished. I ordered the supplies to make Em’s anklet, another one for me and a bracelet. I need to start up a website to sell these things. I know the place I want to use, I just have to do it.

I also listed more books for Tigger to sell. He really wants his I-Pod. Right now he has nothing to play his music on.

I finally installed the software from my new phone so I can sync songs to it. So I put some songs on my phone and listened to them. Of course to get the best sound I need to get earphones, I think they have to be specially designed. I don’t think you can use just any.

One thing I didn’t do is watch the movies I got from the library. They have to go back tomorrow, because they were due today and the library charges a dollar a day. I also owe the Queens library $2.50.

Today Em told me that she and D might buy my car from me so I can get out of debt faster so I can move sooner. Besides needing money for rent, I will have to have first and last month and a security deposit I am sure. After the car is taken care of, I have two loans to pay off. That will take less time if I am no longer paying for the car. Since I will not be taking the car with me, and Stitch needs a car, it makes sense. She is talking about paying it off, since they can probably get a better interest rate then what I am paying.

>And this is what happens, I miss some important news. Follow this link. Here’s another one. Follow this link.

O.K. For those of you who don’t like following links, the news is that Paul Newman died Friday. At first I thought I was really out of touch, then realized that Friday was yesterday. Thinking about it, I can’t decide which is my favorite movie of his. So I am going to one of those news articles and copy a picture to post here.

I chose this picture cause you can really see his blue eyes. I don’t think he looks as handsome in this picture as in some others, but his handsomeness is enhanced by his character and you can’t see that in a picture. That being said, he was really handsome and I was in love with him, even though he was married and older than my father!

>Broad Channel marina owner guilty of dumping sewage, faces jail, score one point for the good guys.

>I have started listening to my MP3 player again. I got some songs by Coldplay and have been listening to them. Five for Fighting has a song NYC Weather Report and one line is “New York City not so cute but ‘oh so pretty, when the rain falls.'” I did it like that because I am not sure I got the first part right. Anyway, I know what they mean, when its raining and everything is gray and the lights are shining through the rain, it is very pretty. This is the view looking up at the street from the subway.

Monday was the first day of Autumn and this week I have gone from sandals to boots. It could be that I have no shoes to transition between the two or maybe I only like sandals and boots or maybe shoes hurt my feet. My weight may not be where I want it, but I put my leather jacket on this morning and I was able to zip it with no problem. I am sending this from my phone, it counts the letters and I am trying to get to 500. I don’t think I will make it, oh I just did.

And now I am home and adding comments from my computer. I was supposed to watch my DVDs so I could return them, I ended up watching Discovery Channel, a show about a busy ER, medical mysteries, Dr. G. More medical mysteries. Now I am here and should be going to bed but I still have things to do. This is the building I work in and to the left is the Citi Building.

So I am going to leave now. Check my other e-mail and my shelfari account and then to bed.

>I decided

>I started reading Sleep No More by Greg Iles. It is not the type of book that I would normally read, and after Mortal Fear, I wasn’t sure I would like it. So far I do and I will continue to read it, but I am not sure if I will finish it. I might even get more books by him. Not buy, but borrow from the library.

That reminds me, I need to check the Queens library to see if my other book is in. They haven’t fixed my e-mail address so I am not getting notifications from them when my books come in.

I was just reading one of the blogs I follow and she had a story about a dead snake in a classroom and the teacher told the student to put it in the outside trash can. Someone commented she was getting Americanized because she should have said dust bin. It reminded me of when I made a carrot cake for Tom and it didn’t turn out. I told someone about the cake and she asked me, was any of it salvageable, I remember I said, “No, it went straight into the dust bin.” She looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. I have no idea why I said that since I’m not British, maybe I had been watching BBC America the night before.

One more thing before I go, I think a skunk has taken refuge under our back deck, I heard some noises earlier, it is raining now and there is a terrible smell coming in my window, smell like wet skunk.
