>Tomorrow I go to Lake Placid, they are forecasting snow. They gave me an Impala, I hope I don’t wreak it. I have the address already in my GPS and I checked the cigarette lighter to make sure it worked. Then I almost got lost coming home because I forgot to change the destination to home and when I realized it, I had no idea where I was. I knew I was near Tarrytown, but that was about it. I quickly changed it and got back on the right road home. Now I need to pack for tomorrow, but I really don’t feel like it, I want to wait until Gwen gets home so I can show her how to treat her coat.

I have given up on Gwen, she can figure out how to treat her coat herself. My eyes hurt from my contacts and I forgot my eye drops last night so they are really bugging me. I just bit my tongue so hard I had to go upstairs and get a spoonful of ice chips for it, and I still have to pack! I really don’t have to pack much, I am only staying overnight. I am just nervous going all the way up there by myself. Sometimes I think I shouldn’t watch so much TruTV, then I would scare myself so bad!

For some reason my labels are not working. I have to show them and click on them when I used to be able to just start typing the name and they showed up, maybe I made too many. I am taking my computer with me, I don’t know if I will have internet access, but if I do, I will be posting. If I don’t I will be sending e-mail from my phone and have to clean them up when I get back.

Phone not working

Well, not really, I just have problems if I go online. I thought it might be because I now have 1,000 messages in my AOL inbox, but when I signed off and tried to send a text, the phone froze up so I had to take the battery out to use the phone, I couldn’t even turn it off. So now I am just killing time because I am so tired and I just want to go home.

It was raining so heavy this morning the backyard looked like the everglades. Except no gators.

When I got home, Tigger wanted to look at my phone to see what it was doing, of course, it didn’t make the lines across the touch screen when he was playing with it. No, couldn’t misbehave for beloved Tigger could it?

I am almost done with Murder in the Adirondacks. I have finished the account of the murder and trial and execution, now he is writing about how the novel “An American Tragedy” came about.

Got the score for the football game: Steelers 21, Bills 24

And Cookie sent me an e-mail, could it be Grace is taking a supplement and that is why she is losing so much weight? I mean, 25 pounds in 5 weeks. I keep forgetting to ask M about it. I am sure she would have an opinion. I told her about the Chipotle flavored olive oil, so of course she had me get some for her, then she put it in her oil mister thing so she could spray it on her popcorn. I didn’t try any, but I am sure it is delish.

Home today

Didn’t go to work today, just not up to it. It poured here, thunder, lightning and hail. Stitch had my car and couldn’t come home because of the storm.

When M got home yesterday, the house was clean enough to satisfy her. Today I have done two loads of laundry for her.

Gwen and I played Rummikub too. I need to go to Allsport, I can’t remember the last time I went. I might be back later.

I am home now, in my room and it is cold. I feel like lying down with my book, but I am afraid I will fall asleep, I really need to log my food in the WW points tracker. Speaking of WW, my weight this morning was 137.6, 2 more pounds lost. M grilled burgers for dinner. She also sliced some tomatoes from her garden, they were very red! At this rate, I might be below 135 in another month. I am calculating the total from when I recommitted which includes a gain one week. I will be happy if I am 135 by next month. Yeah, keep saying that, I might believe it.

Em’s epilator came today, she had to charge it before she could use. I don’t know if she has yet, I will let you know when she lets me know. I told her about the one I saw at Target and didn’t get and she said she had seen one and thought it would be too big to use on your face, even though it said you could use it on your face. I had thought that also of the one I saw at Target, the one I got is prettier too. When I brought the box out, Tigger wanted to know what it was, Em said, “It’s my present, my new toy.” I hope it works well for her, maybe Gwen will use it too.

Soda bottles

I have been taking my soda bottles, you know the empty ones on my desk, I have been taking them two at a time to the recycle bin to get rid of them. I wonder if anyone will notice when they are all gone. Nobody has said anything yet. I get a little thrill, thinking I am sneaking them out without anyone noticing.

This weekend is the D.C. so I am planning on leaving at 2 to get my hair done. I will have to send an e-mail to BE to let him know because STS is not here.

There was something I was going to say about Tigger, but I can’t remember right now, he must have stayed home today because of the rain. It was raining when I left for work.

It was raining when I got to the salon, and when I left it was a thunderstorm, pouring rain and the sky was being lit up, scary! Through all of this, Tigger was texting me constantly about going to Staples and getting him replacement stylus for his PDA. I told him don’t text me I can’t text and drive in the rain, he thought I could, I told him not when there is lightning and it is a monsoon! Staples had the stylus he wanted but not the stuff I was looking for. I now have to check at Best Buy.

It has been my week for dropping things on the floor. Yesterday the Laffy Taffy, today, I bought a new bookmark at Borders. It is metal with string and ribbons attached and on the strings are beads. I dropped the staples as I was trying to get the bookmark off the card, the staples that attached to the card in the store, then when I put the bookmark in my book, some of the beads came off and went onto the floor. I rescued them, put them back on the string and then used some of my special adhesive to keep them there.

On a positive note, I remember to take Blue Diary with me to the salon so I got some of it read. And I have no gray hair. Just in time for the convention.

Warm again

And I thought it was going to rain so I went to the store first then here to the park. Listening to Chicago XXX, really like it, don’t know how they keep doing it.

It is warm again today but not as hot as it has been but still humid. Wearing the red dress I got at Kohl’s. Saw some nice purses at Kohl’s online. Not really sure what I am going to do. Stitch drove me to the train station this a.m. Tigger is supposed to go out. I have decided not to return phone calls because I am tired of getting yelled at.

It is 8:37 p.m. and Stitch just got in with my car. I wanted to go to Target but now I don’t know. I asked Tigger to do something with my computer and he didn’t. He had an upsetting day I know. But, I can’t do it! So I am sitting here wondering if I should go up to Target or not, should ask Tigger to help me again, or just try to do it myself. I am totally undecided. I wish my room was cooler.

Because it is so hard to think when I am hot! Anyway, Tigger came downstairs, when I asked him why he said, Well, I need to fix your computer right? Then he says, I also want an album. He has graduated from songs to whole albums. So, I downloaded an album for him. All with Pepsi points. I also put the two Chicago albums I bought on Em’s MP3 player for her, and burned them to a CD so I could play them in my car.

Going to Chicago today

no, not the city, the rock band. The whole family is going. I really hope my tummy settles down. I hate feeling like I am going to puke. Riding in the van is going to make it worse.

In a few minutes I have to get ready for the meeting. When I post this I am going to check the WW site and then get dressed. I will be back later.

I don’t know if I got the address right I can’t really check right now. We are waiting to go into the concert area and I am hot. It is very muggy and I can’t walk around so I am so bored. Stitch brought a book and M told me I had to stay here with him so besides being hot I am also getting mad.

We have moved, we are on the grass in front of the stage where the band is going to be. M keeps running off and so I am stuck here while she goes off wherever she goes. At least I get to use the towel I bought at Kohl’s. I wonder if I will get to have a drink later. They are teasing us they keep playing ‘Saturday’ but just the first word

The opening act has started. I wonder if The Doobie Brothers or Chicago will be first. We bought t-shirts and Tigger actually took off his Hawaiian shirt and put the Chicago shirt on. Okay opening act is done, time for the main acts.

The Doobie Brothers was first, when they finished, I got up to go to the bathroom, when I came out it was raining, by the time I got back to where our seats were, it was pouring, it was so bad I couldn’t find the rest of the group. Chicago was playing, and one of the band members mentioned, We got a bad weather warning so everyone please come under the pavilion, because this show is going on! And it was great, even if I was wet and with the wind cold and because I was standing I was having cramps. Now I am home and the cramps are still kicking me, so I have to go to bed now. I also ended up with two shirts, I got one at one stand but wasn’t crazy about it. M told me about one she saw at another stand, I got it thinking I could give the first one I bought to Fred, but when I looked at it again, it is too feminine for him. So now I have two Chicago shirt, I really didn’t want two shirts. Maybe Gwen will take it.

Finally

I put a book in a bag to bring to work to read & what am i doing? Sending e-mails to my blog, why you ask?, because it is more fun! I have an idea about something to do with this i will get back to you. The book i brought is No Regrets by Ann Rule. I am going to start reading now.

I was going to stop at the park to do this but it looks like rain so i decided to stop at the coffee shop. I do have to go soon because I need to pee and get back to work. Someday I need to fill in the blanks from our nightmare flight home but can’t right now, so I will say ttfn and bbl

Today’s the day

Leaving soon, have to shower, I am just washing my blankets right now. I wish D would leave so I could shower. I need to print my itinerary and get the address for shopping. I have to go, if I can, I will be back today, I will try to send an e-mail from Atlanta when we change planes.

It is now 1:02 am New York time on Wednesday, here it is only 10:02 p.m. I am just making a quick post because I really need to go to bed. I thought I saw a sign at Newburgh that said free Wi-Fi but when I turned on my computer it said I had to pay $7. In Atlanta we didn’t have time for me to even sit with having to walk to the gate and getting some lunch and getting food for the next flight etc.

It was raining when we got here, on the way to my parents it rained, stopped, rained some more. I told my parents I wanted to go to Mount Baker but there is still too much snow. Well, we will find something else to do I am sure. I have to go now.

Herman has gone too far

Cold, gray damp morning has changed to raining buckets. I was going to the deli but changed my mind and came to the diner, it wasn’t just the rain but the wind was blowing like crazy. Huh, now the sun is shining. Go figure.

Finished Playing with Fire on the way home from work. I am going to try to write a review but not right now. I am just going to insert the picture and then go do some errands. I had to restrict the viewing of this blog. I was so mad this morning I almost cursed at H. I am going now to make my previous posts visible since he won’t be able to see them anymore. I hope.

Yes so now only people I invite can view this blog, that means the ladies on BTF that have been reading it can no longer do so. Well, I got an AOL e-mail address and created a Google account with that and they can use that if they want to.

Playing with Fire starts with an arson, two people died. It turns into a murder investigation when it is discovered that one of the victims was drugged with a date-rape drug. The other victim was unintended. Then there is another fire, also murder. There is also follow up with the boyfriend of the other victim, investigation into allegations of abuse, Peter Robinson does a good job of continuing the two story lines in a logical manner. The characters are not cookie cutter and are very believable. He must do an incredible amount of research. I also like that each novel in the series feels like a stand-alone. He does not do the same plot, same ending, different guest stars with each book in the series.

Weather today

I really don’t know why I don’t blog on the weekend, but I don’t, I just jot everything down Monday then in the evening I reorganize and add stuff when I get online.

Friday night was the DCC concert, I didn’t go, I got a text from Tigger saying 9D was backed up so I went to Allsport instead. While M. Stitch, Tigger and Gwen were at the concert, D signed up for Netflix.

Saturday after bookstudy Gwen had a driving lesson, around the block in the development then I drove to riverside park and Gwen drove from the park to the train station, back to the park and to the train station again, she only almost hit a curb once. After that I went to Allsport. Then Sunday I took Tigger to get a bluetooth. He really likes it. I walked to Ron’s, halfway there I realized I had left my money at home, so I walked on to Main Street to get some from the bank. Netflix is great.

After a semi-gorgeous weekend it is cold, damp, gray & windy this a.m. I took a beating on the way in from the subway to my office. And it must have rained a lot somewhere because the hudson was overflowing its banks into the train parking lot. The same parking lot Gwen was practicing her driving in Saturday.
