>I got lost in Brooklyn. After leaving work early, I took the subway and went out the wrong exit. I found the Sands building and the building on Adams St, but had no idea where in relation to those two buildings the building I wanted was. After wandering around for a while I then got worried that I wouldn’t find my way back in time to catch my train. Well, I headed in the right direction, for a change and found a subway station. No. 2 train so I was set.

When I got to GCT I treated myself to a non-fat latte, an everything bagel with butter and a bottle of Armani Code. I was attracted to the bottle, it is more purple than blue in real life. But the smell is almost like a man’s cologne. I like it and am going to wear it tomorrow.

When I got home, I found out the Gwen was aware I was kidding. The girl who never gets jokes. Anyway, I am not mad at her because (a) it was not really her fault and (b) she is taking me to see Phantom! I have only wanted to see it since forever. Well, I need to sleep. I am getting a headache sitting here and looking at this computer screen instead of my eyelids. Speaking of headaches, Tigger has had a migraine for two (2) days. Poor thing.

>i love my crocs

>I used that opening so people who do not like them will know to just skip the post today. I was thinking about the subject having read an old post of Brit’ Gal and I am wearing my Cyprus crocs at work, which I am not loving cause the straps have worn a sore spot on the top of my foot.

Anyway, if you have been reading you know I got a pair of fleece lined crocs, or fuzzy inside crocs, last Saturday. I have been wearing them for slippers in the house.

Today the lazy worthless college student (usually referred to as Stitch but today he is LWCS) was taking me to the train station so he could use my car and didn’t go out to start it like I have asked him to many times, so I threw on my coat and ran out in the single digit temps and snow to start it. I was wearing the crocs and my feet did not get cold.

Now this afternoon I have to go to Brooklyn because the Clueless College Student (also know as Gwen but today, yeah you get the idea) doesn’t know that when I offer to do something for her that involves walking through Brooklyn in the freezing cold wearing a skirt, I don’t really mean it. But since she accepted instead of saying, “Oh no I don’t want you to freeze your knees off and catch pneumonia” now I have to do it.

>Ruined manicure

>All that time and money! And remember how pretty!

And I have had no time to get them fixed. Maybe next week.

Today was an average day. Just up early, to work, home, Em picked me up so Stitch could get ready for the meeting. Oh one thing I did do was link my book blog to twitter feed so when I post to that blog it shows up in Twitter. Take a look at the twitter feed to the right, you will see my post for Mailbox Monday.

>Inauguration Day

>Important day in history. I watched it at work, both bosses were watching it, people were coming by and soon the little conference room was filled. I don’t know why, but I kept thinking about movies. Looking at Obama’s little girls I started thinking about that movie, I dated the President’s Daughter. Then watching Itzhak Perlman and YoYo Ma play that little piece of music, first I thought about Music of the Heart, then I started thinking, Stitch could have wrote something better.

Anyway, it is late and I am tired. Too much online game playing. I should really go to bed now. Have to take out my contacts and wash my face.

Hopefully I will have a better post tomorrow. And hopefully I won’t break another nail tomorrow!

>Manic Monday #151

>I found this on JonJon’s …a Dedication of Love… a very lovely blog you should check out. This is a meme and for it check out Manic Monday.

What do you do to make yourself feel better when you are sick?

Depends on what I have, but I usually have a cup of tea, sometimes with honey and lemon, then take a nap.

What is the most amazing weather you’ve ever seen?

One winter here, in New York, we had almost no snow, until April 1. Then we got pounded, people lost power for up to two weeks.

Do you listen to music or talk radio in the car?

Music, I hate talk radio.

>MLK day

>No work, so of course I didn’t get up until noon. I also didn’t get on my computer much, its pretty cold in my bedroom, I mean in the whole basement. So I spent most of the day upstairs. That is, when I was running around in my car just cause I could!

Nothing much else to say. I was going to do some laundry but the washer is in use now. So I think I will see what is happening in my blog. Can’t go upstairs right now, the family is doing their Bible study. I took up my computer and showed them the website that is linked to in the last post. They were not impressed. Well, have to go now, will check in later.

>Check this out!

>Fun and addicting, thanks to Sarah, Brit’ Gal.

>Curses!

>When I got up this morning, it was to discover I now only have 9 long nails. One came off during the night and I can’t find it to glue back on. Well, only thing to do is smooth it down and dab some dark polish on until I get my nails done again.

When I showed Em, she grinned and said, “Well, my lashes came off and I can’t get them on this morning.”

So we went to the meeting, I was late as usual. Em took Tigger to get his hair cut and then to get groceries, the rest of them were playing Monopoly. while all this was going on I discovered that the freezer was not working. So I was upstairs when they got home and was standing in the kitchen in my new crocs. I pointed them out to Tigger, he came over and asked, “Are they fuzzy inside?” So I took one off and handed it to him. He put his hand in it and looked around at the others and said, “It’s fuzzy inside!” I told him yes and my feet are finally warm!

After they got the food rearranged and some put in the upstairs freezer and some out in the shed (so no animals will eat it). Em cooked up the beef and made tacos. Then we cleaned up and Gwen and I played Rummicub. I think that is all for tonight. No work tomorrow so I may be back a few times!

>fun day but too cold

>we went to the city, we should probably get our heads examined. When I got up this am it was -1ºF. Should have gone back to bed when I saw that, but I didn’t, I got up and went to the city. Em had her appointment for a facial, but what was my reason? Well, I guess I didn’t have any but I wanted to go with her. So I got up, put on a pair of long underwear, that I bought last night, and the rest of my clothes and came. It was a chance to wear the leather mittens I bought.

We had breakfast at our breakfast place then walked to Lancôme, walked! Further evidence of our mental stability, or should I say lack of? While Em was getting her facial I found a place on 72nd to get my nails done. Long and dark purple how do they look? I like them. Then I sent a text to Em and went to the Crocs™ store while waiting for an answer. I decided to go back to Lancôme I thought she might still be there since she was going to send me a text when she was done. As it was she was walking toward me, she hadn’t turned her phone on and when she tried, it was dead. Em got false eyelashes, she looks amazing with them and he told her how to do them herself, but I got the impression she is not sure she can do them herself, she will though.

So after sending a text to Tigger telling him mom’s phone wasn’t working, we went to Crocs™. Em got a pair of Black lined Crocs™ and I got a pair of purple. Then Em had her bra fitting but we wanted to get lunch first, we found this Mayan Restaurant called Cafe Frida on Columbus, it was excellent, Em got Flautas and I got chicken Enchiladas with Mole sauce. Mine came with a side of rice and beans, Em got to them before me, she every bite of hers and I at almost every bite of mine and half the rice and beans. The food was amazing and made fresh and quick! I wrote down the name so we can go back.

We then went to the bra store so Em could get fitted, I am not saying the name or where, when Em came out she said “Waste of time” she then detailed her reasons which I will not repeat here. Just say she was disappointed. We went to the mall at Columbus Circle, the cold was really starting to get to me. We saw a temperature sign on the Citibank (?) that said 14ºF, so what happened to the 20ºF forecast? I don’t think it made it to 20ºF, it certainly didn’t feel like it to me, and see my water bottle? That’s ice inside there and I didn’t get it from the freezer, I got it from a street vendor and it froze as I was walking and holding it.

Aside from the stops at Starbucks to warm up, I got a migraine from the cold, I also got chapped skin on my legs (That hurts) and to tell you we ended up with French Onion Soup and Glenfiddich at Annie Moores. There’s nothing left to say.
