This is my 69th post on this blog. I don’t know how many were on my other.

Today started like any other Saturday, I went to Lily’s this morning. Then came home, then I sent a text message to M asking about going to Allsport. She wasn’t sure, but then Tigger asked about taking him to Outback to meet M. I called her and she said Outback or Chili’s, so we ended up at Chili’s, Fred wanted to come. Anyway, I ate one of their new bacon cheeseburgers, sooo good, but way to much! Then we each had a sweet shot for dessert. Fred and Tigger each had a chocolate one. I had the cheesecake and M had the apple.

M took Fred home and I took Tigger to Staples so he could play with “his” new PDA. I bought some Sharpie retractable marker and hi-lighters. I missed the bank so I couldn’t cash that huge check from the insurance company. M & D were gone when we got home, I did this and that, checked my e-mail and saw that the schedule on the flight to Washington was changed and so I had to call. They had allowed us 15 minutes to change planes in Atlanta. So I called them to change it. The new time makes it easier for my parents.

Then Gwen, Tigger and me went for a walk. We ended up at the creek, then walked back home along the railroad tracks. We saw some old cars, a microwave, a TV, an air conditioner, some lawn furniture, an animal skeleton. Then Tigger wanted to keep walking until we got to Glenham. We didn’t and my legs were hurting when we got home.

Right now on the BTF thread we are having a Cyber Road Trip. I have never seen the thread this busy, everybody is getting in on it! I just posted so I have to wait for the page to load to see what other craziness is going on.

My day today

Ok, I got the kids to college, turned out the reason they wanted to drive was to pick up a friend and that friend ended up not going, as DG said, we could have taken the bus! And I thought, and I could have stayed in bed!

Then I went to the post office and the auto store (needed new wipers) then to the gym (YAY), then home to take a bath and to the doctor’s (he said my exam was normal, not me, just the exam LOL!) then to the sewing machine repair place (YIKES $$$) and then I stopped at B&N on the way to pick up the kids from college! WHEW! Busy day!

I am probably forgetting some of the sexual violence. Ok – I didn’t write my main objection – he wrote the rape from the raptist’s point of view, in great detail, making it very titilating which I found revolting. I think Ken Follet is deeply disturbed. I really do.
The graphic detail was unnecessary and detracted from the book.

What should I call this post?

Well, it is late and I really should be in bed. I went on WW but couldn’t think of anything to say. I need to go on Amazon to post a review of the book I just bought, but I don’t feel like it. I really have no idea what I wanted to post here, I just need to make long posts. I discussed this before.

I posted pictures of Abigail on Yahoo Booktalk and everyone thinks Abby is beautiful. One woman called Sassy a calico, humph. One who couldn’t open the Yahoo site I e-mailed the pics to, one of Abby and one of Sassy. She said Abby had beautiful markings and asked if Sassy was a torti. So some do know what is what. I also emailed the pictures to B___. She said Abby was pretty and that she remember Sassy, ‘she must be getting up there in years’. She is indeed. That reminds me of something I need to do before I go to bed.

I went to post a comment on my vacw’s website, but then I realized it would give him a link to this blog, so I deleted it.

So now I know

I have to type really long posts. Otherwise my lists overtake my posts and I have to increase the number of my posts.

Last night I took a picture of Butterscotch, he was sleeping on his side with his front paws crossed. I don’t know why I took it, I just felt compelled. I have also been putting food out for the little torti that looks just like Sassy. I know I shouldn’t. She is really sweet, except she is also pretty wild, she has gotten calmer after we took Abby in. When I get a better picture of Abby I will post it, along with crossed leg Butterscotch.

I posted to Exercise Police and 20 +/- to go today. I haven’t in a long time. I need to, I can’t just post to Booktalk and Friends.

Tonight at the meeting they voted to change the nights. They changed to Wednesday! Can you believe it? Well, until orchestra is over Stitch, Gwen and I will be going to WF because they can’t just drop it. Gwen is all upset about it, but she calmed herself in the car on the way home.

I just created this stupid web page. Check it out. I don’t know if there is a way to update it. Or delete it.

Selling stuff on a Rainy day

I was listing some books on Amazon to sell. Tigger brought down a whole stack of books, “We never read these, can we sell them?” Then he realized that with the shipping credit Amazon gives, you get more money than you ask for, so he tried to get me to sell a quarter for 15 cents. He is a total nut case. I am not a meanie, I speak the truth.

It is raining like crazy here. 9D is flooded so if we want to go to the mall we have to drive up Route 9. Tigger asked me if I have sold anything yet. Then he told me he was making pancakes. Very cool I told him. He agreed. Someday, I have to take a good picture of Abby.

Stitch loves driving

So I suppose I should say why I am mad at the Booktalk Posters. I was feeling like they were acting like a bunch of old ladies, I said Sassy had surgery and no one posted anything, normally they are all huggy, nothing, then I mention Abby and they are throwing advise at me like I asked for it! Well no thanks.

Now Stitch loves driving. It is his favorite thing. Well not really. D’s van has not been running so I have been getting dropped off and picked up and Stitch has driven my car almost every day this week. He even drove over the bridge and in Newburgh, while he was following D. It is almost scary.

New Kitty

Well, the kitty’s name is now Abby. She is really a nice cat. She stayed in all day yesterday and last night and seems perfectly content. She used the litter box M got for her. Stitch said she kept him up with her purring, then when she started to cry he petted her and Sassy hit him in the head. Tigger sent me a text when I was on the train that she almost woke D up. Then he says ‘not good’. It will be next.

I have been putting in Pepsi points. M has been giving them to me. She has been asking for the Rainbow song. Some group has redone, “Over the Rainbow” a group called The Hawaiian Rainbow Singers. Anyway, I downloaded it last night. She doesn’t have an MP3 player right now, so I put it on her phone for her. It sounds better on her phone than mine. Anyway, I think that is all I have to say for now. Except I am mad at the Booktalk posters.

molly

This pretty tabby cat has been hanging around our basement door and meowing and trying to get in our house. It is a new cat, not one of the usual strays. It is also an indoor cat and I have no idea why it is outside. Anyway the kids want to adopt her and call her Molly, but I am leery because she is a strange cat, although very clean looking and friendly as can be. She could have worms or she might have been put out of her owners house cause she was peeing all over we just don’t know.

M said she is going to put ads in the paper to try to find her owner. She is a real sweet girl. She has been inside, but M won’t let her stay in at night. Today she bought a litter box for her, but is still saying she hasn’t decided if she is staying.

Hi Y’all

Well, I am back, I had a very stressful day yesterday, with a collector calling and having to borrow money from my dad. I had gotten him and Mom a little booklet about the year 1954. Now I don’t think I will mail it. It seems kind of lame. And I still haven’t gotten a card for Karen and Carole. It is too late now. I will just have to write them.

I finished Atonement, of course you can see that by my list at left. I now have to decide what book to read next. I have to check the website. I have two books that I am reading, this will be a book to read on the train.

Coming home, I fell asleep, dropped my book, then when I got and was trying to gather my stuff I dropped my cell phone and it slid under the seat in front of me. I almost had to crawl on my hands and knees to get it.

Tre now has my number

Tigger said he prefers texting to Tre because I am boring. Everyone in the family agreed with him. D said people who haven’t met me don’t think I’m boring, I sent Tigger a text that said “Drill bit is my new name.” I guess that is why Tigger asked Tre if I am boring. Tre says how can I know, I don’t know her. So Tigger gives him my phone number. Then he sends me a text, “Hi Im Tre.” So I show it to M. She sends Tre a text message, he sends one back, she asks Tigger, “What does this mean in English?” Tigger says “Laughing my butt off.” He asks her, “What did you say?” She replies, “I told him you were crazy.”

So I never did reply to Tre. I am thinking about sending him a reply, “Hi, I’m Drill Bit.” I think I will wait and see if he sends me another text message.

I took this picture with my cell phone yesterday. I got this sweater from Macy’s on clearance sale.

We used too much chocolate in the cocoa yesterday. M and I put fat free half and half in ours. The kids drank theirs straight. Even Gwen who says she doesn’t like chocolate.

Oh and I downloaded the add-on to make tinyurls. It is pretty fun.
