>Tigger and Em

>Were in the city today. They had an appointment at John Jay College. Tigger really liked it and would like to go there. He really loves the city as you can see from his Facebook update:

Then afterwards they walked around. Went to Shake Shack and got shakes, went to see the Dragon movie in 3D. I met up with them after work for dinner. Em and I split a hamburger at Annie Moore’s. Tigger had chicken fingers, since we were at Annie Moore’s we had to get Fred chicken too. They cook the chicken just right there.

I am annoyed

and not just with my co-worker (who I might just kill before I leave work tonight). I was thinking I would start with the minor annoyances and move up, then I realized they were all minor. I mean, if they were major, they would be problems not annoyances.

The first is I can’t customize my Yankee blog. It is on MLB.com and they have 3 different templates and no way to add widgets or any cool stuff. It is their site and apparently they want the blogs to have a more or less uniform look. I already found out they censor the language. **laughs** I suppose I could always start another blog with blogger and make it pretty, but I have no way of transferring my blog posts to it, or I don’t really want to try, so I will just go along with a Yankee blog with no cool gadgets. I will just have to dress it up with pictures of cool guys.

The other thing that annoyed me today was I had a blog post all typed out on my phone to send, I pressed said, I got a message that said there was a problem, try again, so I did and the message was deleted. I was very annoyed because I jammed my thumbnail last night and it hurts to type out on my phone. The train was pulling into GCT so there was no time to retype it. It took me that long because I kept falling asleep. I am now wondering if I should include jamming my thumbnail as an annoyance, but I don’t think I will, that is more like an injury then an annoyance.

Now that I start listing these things it seems there are not that many things annoying me right now. I can only thing of one more thing. Wachovia is annoying me. I had insufficient fund fees over $200 last month (this week). What really annoys me, is I went to get cash Monday and I checked the balance first, the ATM showed a balance of around $80 dollars. So I got $20 out, one of the overdraft charges is for that withdrawal, it seems at that point I was already overdrawn. If the ATM had showed a negative balance, I wouldn’t have gotten money out. I hate Wachovia. I used to think they were an O.K. bank. Now I hate them.

That seems to be it. I can’t think of anything else bothering me, and now that I have written this out, these things are no longer bothering me. My blog is my therapist.

>I took these pictures

>

Last time Em and I were in the city. Spring flowers! And it was a pretty nice day too, not like recent weather. Actually these were taken in our yard. I told Stitch you know it is spring when the Crocuses stick their little purple heads up (I know they look kind of blue, but they are really purple). They are all flattened on the ground now because of all the rain, and have been overpowered by the daffodils.

I have no idea the name of these pinkish purple flowers, but they were blooming in Central Park so I snapped their picture. We were walking down a road through the park, I don’t remember where we were going at the time, we were either coming from or going to the Cold Water Creek store. I got a nice dress there on a really good sale. I kept stopping to take pictures so Em got way ahead of me. Of course she stopped and waited for me.

We stopped at Maxie’s Grill for lunch, Em said she thinks in the future we will just go there for drinks and dessert. We were hoping to see some of the game, instead they had on girl’s softball.

And these,

are Forsythia, not Forsynthia like some people say, there is no ‘n’, they are also a flower (or bush) that when I see it think of spring.

I don’t know what this last flower is but I know you see a lot of them during springtime,

>You know how it is, when you just get that bug to redecorate. Since I live in a basement, my decorating opportunities are limited, so I rearrange things here.

My book blog has three columns, and I just never thought this one would. One reason was the background is not conducive to text, very pretty but sometimes you can’t read the words. Then I learned how to put a solid background behind the text. Cool. From that, the decision to put 3 columns was easy. I was tired of how far to scroll and things just kept piling up on the side, so now it is a little more even.

What do you think? Don’t be shy, comment away!

>Today is already looking like a day I would like to rewind and start over. Yes I want a do-over. Up early to catch the train, took out my ear phones to make sure we weren’t changing trains in Croton like yesterday (always a high light of my day when that happens[big eye roll here]). We didn’t so I was thinking today should be o.k., just a little rain, yes a LITTLE rain, also cold nasty wind, my jeans are still wet.

Fortunately it was Abi who opened the door to the office, not someone with that hated question, ‘Don’t you have an umbrella?’ Well of course I have an umbrella, its home in my closet where it won’t get broken or wet (another big eye roll), I don’t want it to end up on a blog somewhere, or on one of those posters

‘Missing … have you seen …. ‘

I also only wore one jacket. I need two jackets, a light one for the office and a heavier one to wear over it when I go outside. Especially on a day like today I need two jackets. I only have my heavy jacket, which is wet now so I can’t wear it and I am freezing in my office!

I tried to turn my scale on to measure my cereal and Ta Da! batteries are dead. Fortunately it takes AAA batteries, except I don’t think I have any. Anyway, it is day two of my new vitamin regimen and I still don’t feel any better. In fact right now I wish I was home still wrapped up in my blankets.

Yankees are coming!

You will notice I put a countdown on my blog. This is to opening day Yankees vs. Red Sox in Boston, then I will change it to the first game that Em and I will be going to at Yankee Stadium. I tried very hard to get tickets to the home opener but it hasn’t happened yet. I don’t think its going to happen even though I will continue to try and check out websites.

Last year I promised to not blog about the Yankees. I have not kept that promise, I just stopped blogging here by making a blog on MLB.com. The blog is called: The Foxx Loves the Yankees. It is mostly about the Yankees, a little personal stuff thrown in so you know its me.

Another change I made to my blog is I widened it to accommodate the countdown widget. Also, the site where I got the widget has countdowns for many events, not just sports, if you want a countdown widget for your blog, check it out! Birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, wedding, all sorts of events, and sports too.

>Manhattan again

>Taking up space at the library while Em gets her nails done. The last time we were here, well no not the last time, the last time it rained like a bitch and we didn’t do anything. The time before that we talked about how music moved us. That is really all we do, we just walk and talk, we mix up some shopping and eating among that, but mainly, we talk and we walk. Reliving our teenage years, this time doing it right and having fun. It may sound boring, but I can’t think of a better way to spend a day then with your best friend in a place you both love to be.

Today we are going to get our piercings checked. Mine because its been a month, hers because it hasn’t been healing properly. I think about telling her, welcome to the club, I have two that refuse to heal. Both are almost a year old.

Blogger has come up with some new templates and features. I tried them out on my craft blog … problem is, I have customized all my blogs and I reallty don’t want to lose those custimazations (I have no idea if that is really a word). I just went to the craft blog on this computer and it is PINK! not the nice shaded kind of lavenderish color it was at home. I don’t have the old template here (duh) so I will have to wait to get home to change it back.

I have a few more things to do on this computer then it will be time to meet Em and go see Ashley. Speaking of Ashley, I have to go tweet now.

>E-mail joke

>A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.

“Miss Whack, I’d like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday.”

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it’s okay, he knows the bank manager.

Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, “Sure. I have this,” and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused, Patty  explains that she’ll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, “There’s a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral.”

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. “I mean, what in the world is this?”

(you’re gonna luv this)

The bank manager looks back at her and says…

“It’s a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan, His old man’s a Rolling Stone.”

>This is another of the postcards I bought while visiting my parents in Washington State. I like how this has a frame effect in it.

>I thought the day was improving

>

when the man sitting behind me complimented my hair clip. He said it was beautiful and he had been admiring it the whole trip.

Kind of creepy? I don’t think so, I also don’t think he was gay (well maybe) anyway, since I had overslept and missed the 6:18 and had to take the express train even though I got a seat, I was still upset. Then when I got that nice complement, about my hair clip being beautiful and he had been admiring it the whole train ride, I decided to take it as a good thing and thought the day was getting better.

I bought some fruit and yogurt for breakfast and headed for the #7 train, only to learn it was not running. There was a train stuck in the tunnel they said. I suppose it could have been worse, I could have been stuck in that train.
