>up and down today

>Today has been kind of an up and down day. First thing my weight today is 140.2 which is 25 pounds heavier than I want to be but it’s the same as the last time I tracked so that is good. Then since I got up late so decided I would catch the 6:44 and I missed it. Pulled into the parking lot as it was coming toward the station. So I had to wait for the 7:05 express. I hate the express. It wasn’t too bad today, I found a seat with an extra seat I could put one my bags on so I was able to read.

The other down today was I had cramps like you would not believe. This is the last day so I don’t know why my cramps were so bad. Then an up was my new Chase card came. Tigger is excited too. I told him I needed him to buy songs so I wouldn’t get charged a fee on my checking account.

Another up was it was a beautiful day. The temperature was in the 60’s, of course tomorrow they are going to be down in the 40’s. I also checked on the forms online and I can set up Direct Depost to my Chase account for a set amount so I am going to do that.

A funny thing that happened is I set up Mailbox Monday to post this morning, I was checking my blog on my phone and the post wasn’t there, I finally figured out I was checking the wrong blog!

>Yesterday

>Em, Tigger and I went to Manhattan yesterday, Tigger wanted to go to some camera stores and Em looked up the addresses but she forgot the paper with the address on it so we didn’t do that.

We went to our favorite breakfast place, except that it was more of a brunch cause it was around 11:00 a.m. Then we walked toward Central Park, we stopped at the Library and I bought a card for Cookie and a pill case with a picture of the Brooklyn Bridge on it. Then Em asked if I was uncomfortable in my coat, she noticed I had trouble snapping it at the restaurant. I kept saying it’s fine when I stand up. She asked if I wanted to get a coat to replace it. I replied that if we saw a Daffy’s I would look for a coat there, but then we went by Esprit and she suggested we go in. So I saw a down coat, it was a little more than I wanted to pay and longer then I wanted, then Em pointed out some jackets a little shorter, about the same length as my red one, they were on sale so I got a nice gray one, has a hood, knit cuffs and collar, zips. So I bought it to replace my red down jacket which I gave to Em for the coat drive the high school is having.

Em also got a down vest for Tigger, I forgot where, not at Esprit because everything for men was just too expensive. Then we went to Central Park and walked around, then Tigger convinced Em to cab it to Macy’s. Tigger wanted to look for clothes. He got a nice shirt, then noticed they had jeans on sale so he got a pair of jeans too. He looks great in them. There was a Daffy’s there which I still wanted to go in, and Em wanted to go in Victoria’s Secret, but she didn’t want to take Tigger in with her, so she went to VS and we went to Daffy’s. Except when we walked inside, there was a line for the elevator to go up to Daffy’s, so we went to Staples instead. I told Tigger he was more fun in Staples then in clothing stores. He explained it this way, “When I go in a clothing store, I only want clothing for me, when I go to a store like Staples, I want everything.”

As you might expect, it was an absolute madhouse. Macy’s has their Christmas display in the window and people were just crowding around looking for, it was worse than Time Square, but not worse than Time Square on New Year’s Day.

We went to Annie Moore’s for dinner, then to Grand Central Terminal to walk around a bit. We went to Douglas Cosmetics, I was looking for a sharpener for my lip pencil, they didn’t have any, Tigger convinced Em to buy him some more cologne, it was less there than at Macy’s. Then we went to Posman Books and she got an appointment book. I saw a book about a pickpocket in Manhattan in the 19th century. I almost got it. I might still.

>Manhattan anyone?

>Anyway, I have been up for an hour. Em and I were supposed to be going to the city today so I got up and got dressed, she is still not up. I guess I got the time wrong. Anyway, since I am up I decided to start the WW thread.

I am still not hearing any signs of life. I wonder if I should go up and wait in the living room. I mean, I will hear them if they start walking around but it is cold down here. I sort of feel like going back to bed but, I already am dressed and have my contacts in and make-up on, so its not like I could take a nap or anything. I think I will check outside to see if her van is still here.

Yep still here, I think I will go up and see if any lights are on upstairs.

>Made a mistake.

I have to correct a prior post, this information is from the NY Times website, section On This Day.

On This Day in History Monday, December 08th

1980 Rock musician John Lennon was shot to death outside his New York City apartment building by Mark David Chapman. The former Beatle was 40.

They’re going to kick me out of the fan club for this.

>so much for an early evening. Took Fred to BHS play and now he wants to ‘talk to people’. I was going to rush him out I was so tired, then he pointed out I don’t have to go tomorrow, I’ll just wait and see what happens tomorrow morning.

>Hitting the bed

>Well not really, really I just going to wash my face take out my contacts, clean the litter box, take my pill and crawl under my blankets and pull them up to my cheekbones. Then I am going to pray that the temperature drops and the roads ice over so I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.

Lady K got her package. Reminds me I need to go back to the thread and thank her mom for telling me. I was starting to get a little worried because my mom got hers on Tuesday and my mom is on the west coast, her mom said she has already written a note to her Grandma.

I finished my book so I watched 2 episodes of L&O:CI on the way home from work. I think I might begin to love long train rides. So now I have to finish the few things I need to do on here and then go to bed.

>Morning! (YAWN)

>I have gotten a little behind on my posting, so I decided to take a minute and say good morning before I have to fly out of here to work. I spent a little too much time with my books last night and am dragging this morning. Missed my train yesterday and was a wee bit late to work. Don’t want that to happen today, so I am leaving my warm cozy bed and getting dressed, yes I am, NOW, OK OK, I’m going!

>New bank account

>I decided to open a new checking account. I was planning on starting my savings account with this bank in the new year, you know, the one for my move. So I just to start earlier. Besides I just got an overdraft due to partially my own stupidity and partially the banks way of posting transactions. Anyway, I just got tired of it so I went and opened a new account. Now begins the process of changing things around. I already changed Amazon, I have to wait for my card to change some other things.

The box of books (well it wasn’t a box actually, it was a package no matter) has finally found it’s way to my bed where they are lying all scattered about. I put them in Shelfari and LibraryThing and put them in a post to be published on Monday for Mailbox Monday. Now I just have to find a place to put them until it is time to read them.

Tigger downloaded some episodes of Law & Order: C.I. for me. I have the 16GB I-Pod and so the whole season fits. What fun! I tried to find a nice picture to post here but couldn’t. I had to tell Em and she told me to shut up!

😛 to her.

>As I type this I am a little scared because the wind is blowing ferociously outside, well yes, I guess it is good it is outside, I can hear it and I can hear the snow shovel(it hangs on the outside of the shed wall under the deck) banging against the shed. I can also hear the leaves getting blown all around. It was starting as I got home from Target so it seems I missed the worst of it, I just have to listen to it. I am also freezing from it because the wind always blows my window open when it gets bad.

Anyway, to get back to my post title, my mom called, she got the Hershey pillow I sent her. So I was all excited because the other package I mailed was going to someplace close to where she lives, as soon as I could I checked my e-mail to see if the other package made it, no e-mail. So then I checked on the message board posts to see if it got there, no post. So now I am a little disappointed. Well, maybe tomorrow.

I have to go now and hang up my laundry. That was one benefit staying home, I got a load of laundry done. Oh and I stopped at the library and got the following book: The nine days queen: a portrait of Lady Jane Grey by Mary Luke. It is a biography.

Tigger filmed this, so he is not in it. But he did a good job! And so did all the kids that collected the money. One small error, she said 5 lunch periods, there are only 4, but the kids dug deep and gave all their spare change. I posted about this previously. Click here to read it.
