>I ♥ NY

>Yes, Em and I went to Manhattan again. This was another spur of the moment, unplanned trip. D had been saying no, then he decided to take the children flying. Some place where they can fly gliders or something like that. So he said Em could go to the city.

Gwen went with me to my book study this morning and P announced that it was our book study’s turn to help with cleaning our place of meeting. So as I was driving home I was telling Gwen this meant that her mom and I wouldn’t be going to the city, not that we had planned it anyway, then as we started to pull in the yard, Em was out there doing the Snoopy dance.

First thing we did when we got to GCT was go to Douglas Cosmetics. I mean the first thing after we stood in line at the ladies room. So many people there! I bought some perfume, and the sales person gave me five or six samples of perfume and a coupon for 10% off, don’t know why. Em knocked this big thing off the table and I was giving her a hard time about it, maybe he(I think it was a him) thought I was embarrassed.

Then we went to a couple jewelry stores, then we started walking down 42nd Street toward the library, Em wanted to go to the library and Bryant Park. As we were walking along past GCT there was this homeless man with a sign and he was saying, ‘If you could spare a dollar.’ I said, to myself mainly, but loud enough for Em to hear, ‘No I can’t spare a dollar, I just spent 90 dollars on perfume!’ She started laughing, ‘It is all about you isn’t it!’ Yes indeed, I am tired of doing everything the way other people think I should. I am a competent adult and can make my own decisions!

There were so many people (tourists) there. They were very annoying and I almost put a descriptive word before tourists. Well, its not really a descriptive word, I think it would be considered a verb! Another thing of note that happened was as we were walking down the sidewalk, in front of this hotel a man was just standing there, we had to walk around him and as we walked on I heard a voice, “DAD!” then a pause, then “GET OUT OF THE WAY!” Em says, well as least the son knows what is going on!

We had no plans, we just walked to Central Park, I got another headache, I have realized that the headaches I have been getting when we go to the city are directly related to the problem I am having with my sinuses. We walked back to GCT and then we went to Annie Moore’s. Em got a cheesecake from Junior’s to bring home. We got in about 7:15 p.m. and Fred was all excited about flying today.

I finished the necklace I was crocheting, I am not real happy with it, but I think it will do for the girl I am sending it to. I hope she likes it. After I send it and she gets it, I will post a picture on my craft blog, I am not doing now because I don’t want to ruin the surprise. Now I am sick, I don’t think from the city or Annie Moore’s, I think from the hot sausage I ate.

>Playing hooky

>From work, that is what I did today. So I guess I should have said, played hooky as the title for this post. I got up and got on the train, but I went to White Plains instead of to work. I had lunch with Beth and Anne. Anne brought leftovers from her dinner yesterday. It was good, but the stuffing wasn’t as good as Em’s.

Tigger sent me a post asking if we could go driving. I replied, I’m not home, I guess he didn’t look out the window and see my car was not in the yard. I told him where I was and not to tell mom, he didn’t, but when we were talking, I don’t remember what she said, but he kind of rolled his eyes, and I looked at him then stared at Em and she said, You didn’t go to work today did you? So after all that worrying that he would blab, I blew it! HA HA.

Well anyway, now I will go upstairs and see if the food is ready. I really want to go to Target and get some things. I also want to look for a book I just read about.

I also got e-mails from Cookie and Melva. I am happy. Not about what is happening with them, that is definitely very sad, but I am glad I got to hear from them. I have a card for Cookie, I need to write it and send it out.

>on my way home

>early, and I cannot believe how freaking crowded this train is! It is like everyone in the city is trying to leave. I decided to go ahead and get the I-pod since I have enough money for it. The money for it is coming out of my other account anyway. You know the one linked to my amazon account, amazon, the people who are sending me $20 for the books I sold, Yippee! Between that and the money I put in it every payday and the coins I deposited there is enough money.

I feel like I am doing my part for the economy.

>Once Again

>I have stayed up too late. After not sleeping well last night and missing the book study this morning.

Em, Gwen and I went out today. She wanted her hair done. So Gwen and I dropped her off and went to Macy’s to make an appointment to get a makeover for Gwen. Yes, she has decided to start wearing makeup. Em put some on her last Wednesday and she liked how she looked. So she had her makeup done. Then she decided she needed a new top to go with her new look, and she picked out a red top. We are so happy, she looks so good in it. Then we went for lunch, she was so happy she paid for lunch. Unfortunately, I got another migraine, or sinus headache, anyway, I started feeling bad and nauseous and my sinuses were hurting and discharging dark brown mucus.

After we got home I didn’t do much else besides sit in my room and play with my blog. Well, I did lie down and sleep for a while.

Cookie sent me an e-mail with some sad news, very sad, but not unexpected. Now I have to go to bed. Gwen wants to go to Fishkill’s meeting tomorrow, to show off her new look to someone there.

>Every Breath You Take

>Yes I have taken the Police earworm to the extreme. At the bottom of my blog are more Sting and The Police videos from U-Tube. I got a bunch of Police and Sting music on my MP3 player. I still have a bunch of room on it.

Tigger and I were texting about the I-Pod Nano he says he is getting for me. I want purple, after the big deal he made that I couldn’t get the purple ’cause Em and I would confuse ours, he tells me today if you order them from the Apple website, you can get them engraved for free! Not only, when I went to the website to look at them, they have on the Nano how many GB it holds! Since I am getting a 16 and she has an 8, they will be different. Anyway, I think I will have engraved on mine, Now Bella can carry a tune.

Or maybe not, no one at home thought it was very funny.

>People

>People are such creatures of habit. Like the man I saw giving directions to a blind man and he was pointing! I almost said ‘Dude, he can’t see you.’ Well, I hope he got where he was going. My throat is sore and Em just told me Fred might have strep. She says ‘Joy’ I say yuck.

I bought a new cane today. It is pretty, it has flowers, and is almost identical to my other cane. Since I climbed over that guard rail my knee has been hurting me. I got some cute pictures from H that I will post later. Now I should do some work.

I left work early, just couldn’t stay there with my ill feelings. My head was stuffed up and achy and my throat was sore and I have trouble breathing. I was going to buy some music by The Police, but I don’t know if I should. I have CD’s that I could sync to my MP3 player, except I don’t feel like it.–

>Holiday

>No work today so I turned my phone off when I went to bed. Fortunately I turned it on when I woke up this morning. Em called to let me know when she was ready to go shopping. So I got up, sewed the button on my coat, my new coat, they sewed the buttons on crappy so I had to secure it so it wouldn’t fall off.

We went to Woodbury Commons, to the Bose store, Em looked on the website and it looked like they sold I-Pods. Tigger had talked her into getting an I-Pod Nano. They didn’t. So she went to another store to get Fred new jeans. Those were the two things she was looking for.

After we left there, we went to New Jersey to get gas. I was going to post this picture so you could see how cheap the gas is where I am, but its not really where I am, this picture was taken in New Jersey. When Em saw the sign, she threw on the brakes, I never thought the van could stop that fast. But it did, and we got gas. That is another thing nice about New Jersey, it is illegal to pump your own gas, so we didn’t have to get out of the car.

Em got an I-Pod Nano, purple at Best Buy in Paramus. There is an Applebees in the same mall so we got lunch there. We were going to split this really decadent chocolate dessert there, but I couldn’t get the waiter’s attention and we decided to just leave.

After we got home we went to Allsport, this is the 3rd time in 4 days. I am just happy to be doing something, after at least 2 weeks of doing nothing. When I got home, Em went up to take a nap, I left to take Casino Royale back to the library and go to get something chocolaty and yummy! The rest of the evening I was watching TV and putting music on my new MP3 player. It is Em’s old one.

Today

Yesterday, I did not turn on my computer at all. After the meeting, Em and I went to Danbury, she is looking for navy blue capris to wear to Manhattan. She didn’t find any. We did find these cool bags at Eddie Bauer though. Em’s is blue and mine is burgundy. It has bunches of pockets and stuff to carry things. Saturday we went to Macy’s cause Em saw that they were having an online Lancôme sale. Well, they were also having it at the store, so she got makeup and I got eyeliner and we got 2 free gifts. I am not wearing the eye shadow today, because I overslept and didn’t have time. Tomorrow I will have to try harder.

Bella >^..^<

I am so disgusted, I am wearing a top that I used to look cute in, and now I look fat in it. I suppose I should have waited to wear it, but for some reason I just put it on cause I was wearing my black pants. I looked in the mirror at work and went yuk! More incentive to stay on track until I lose the weight.

Well, I was eating well today, then I started to eat my popcorn and I had a really bad tummy ache. Then I had to go to the bathroom. I managed to get all the way home before the really bad stuff came out, then I took my imodium and got in bed. Then Gwen called me for dinner, so I put my nightgown and robe on, went upstairs and had a hamburger, comfort food. And got grease on my nightgown and robe. So when I came back downstairs I put them both in the hamper. Now I am just sitting on my bed wrapped up in my soft fleece blankets. I wish there was a way I could lie down and type.

Yesterday I was wearing my Gap jeans. They are tight, but I was able to get them on.

I have already done a lot today, for me that is, I ate breakfast, went to Lily’s, forgot to stop at the library and put a load of clothes in the washer, as soon as it is done, I am hanging it up and then making some eggs cause I am hungry again! Well it is 11:00 and cereal never stays with me long. I finished Blue Diary, finally! I have to write a review, I have a lot to say about it. I thought it was a very good book. I listened to a little bit of Mortal Fear on my computer, I will finish listening to it on my MP3 player. The last time I tried listening to a book, it expired and I never got it from the library to read it, I just lost interest in it. My weight is up from last week, but it may be down before I weigh in, since it is down from yesterday. I will just be so careful today, which will be hard since I am going to a barbecue today. I will just have to do my best. Em wants to go shopping so we will probably leave early. And I just found out I have hall cleaning, so I will have to do that after I hang up my clothes and eat.

Well, I had to spin my clothes out again. So I didn’t get to the hall. I also didn’t know what time the barbecue was. I found out, I hung my clothes up. I brought the dry clothes in my room and threw them on my bed, I will take care of them later. My GPS wouldn’t turn on when I left for the barbecue so I was driving down the street looking for the road her house is on and didn’t know if I had passed it or not, so I turned off and around, I finally got the GPS on and put the wrong street in! By this time, Em was texting me, “Are you lost?” If I don’t use my GPS for a long time, it won’t turn on when I need it. Since I know this, I should turn it on the day before I need it. But I never remember this. Anyway, Em and I left the barbecue early, we weren’t having a good time, the food was awful and not a very good variety, and nothing to do, just sit around and talk, Stitch was getting antsy with the people and Gwen was still not feeling well. So we went home, Em and I went to Allsport, then the mall. We got makeup and I got a skirt at, duh, can’t remember, it was $10 originally $40. Now it is 1:30 am so I should get to bed, but before I do, watched the new show on BBC America called Primeval. Had a scary centipede on it, about 8 feet long and poisonous.

Warm again

And I thought it was going to rain so I went to the store first then here to the park. Listening to Chicago XXX, really like it, don’t know how they keep doing it.

It is warm again today but not as hot as it has been but still humid. Wearing the red dress I got at Kohl’s. Saw some nice purses at Kohl’s online. Not really sure what I am going to do. Stitch drove me to the train station this a.m. Tigger is supposed to go out. I have decided not to return phone calls because I am tired of getting yelled at.

It is 8:37 p.m. and Stitch just got in with my car. I wanted to go to Target but now I don’t know. I asked Tigger to do something with my computer and he didn’t. He had an upsetting day I know. But, I can’t do it! So I am sitting here wondering if I should go up to Target or not, should ask Tigger to help me again, or just try to do it myself. I am totally undecided. I wish my room was cooler.

Because it is so hard to think when I am hot! Anyway, Tigger came downstairs, when I asked him why he said, Well, I need to fix your computer right? Then he says, I also want an album. He has graduated from songs to whole albums. So, I downloaded an album for him. All with Pepsi points. I also put the two Chicago albums I bought on Em’s MP3 player for her, and burned them to a CD so I could play them in my car.
