Comment moderation is on

Recently I read the following blog post about getting more comments on your blog. 40 Dead Simple Ways to Get More Comments on Your Blog This was one of the suggestions, copied directly from the post, “10 – Don’t moderate comments. Nothing about the words ‘Your comment is awaiting moderation’ encourages a reader to comment more. Nothing.” The next suggestion seems to be written for me “11 – If you do moderate, approve comments as quickly as possible.” since this blog will always have comment moderation. I am way to much of a control, OCD psychotic freak to just let people write whatever they want and me not approve everything on this blog. Please, you are talking about the person who goes back over 3 month old posts to correct typos. Comment Moderation is on.

However, something that will NEVER be on this blog is word verification. I hate word verification. In fact I was just leaving a comment on a blog when I clicked to post the comment, missed that I needed to put in the word verification and when the page came back up, my comment was gone. So I left the blog, without leaving a comment.

Something else that will never be on this blog is music. When I first started blogging and reading blogs, I would go to some blogs and the music would start. “Oh that is kind of cool” was my first thought, and I searched around trying to figure out how to put it on my blog, I never found out how. But as time went by and I read more blogs, I discovered that a lot of people don’t like it. I would just mute my computer if I didn’t like the music that was playing, but now that I think about it, it is kind of intrusive, putting your taste in music off on your readers, so if you don’t like hearing strange music come out of your computer speakers, this blog is safe for you to read.

That’s all. Says she. Have anything you want to add?

Late to the party, that’s me always.

This debate about the new logo was not something that overly concerned me, I am not really a big logo person, I mean I appreciate the importance of a logo, but I don’t get overly attached to them. To be truthful, I wasn’t even sure if they had switched yet because I hadn’t seen it. But here it is on a cup sleeve. I kind of like it, even though its green. The reason I hadn’t noticed it before is because I normally get my coffee in my personal cup. For a variety of reasons.

Besides my belief that it is better for the environment, it also doesn’t burn my hand to hold this cup when its filled with hot coffee and I get a 10¢ discount on my drinks. On a side note, it holds a tall size drink, and yes I have been charged for a grande at times and I like the color. I even have nail polish to match. Seriously, I do.

So, what do you think?

For me, a spring photo is either purple crocuses or a box of tissue. I decided that most people are probably tired of hearing about my allergies so I went with pretty purple flowers.

Enjoy. That’s all, says she.
