I had a bad day

I got to bed late last night. Then woke up a few times. Once to turn off the heater, next around 4:18 a.m. Then I didn’t get up for work until 5:40 a.m. or so. I ran to the bathroom and the light was burnt out. I had to go with the door open and Butterscotch watching me. I went online and started the thread for “Points Poster” and still caught the 6:18 a.m. train. Fortunately I had put the 2 new balls of yarn in my knitting bag so I could keep on knitting. So I was in a pretty good mood despite the rocky start.

All that changed when I opened my workbag when I got to my office. I had forgotten my WW journal. Well, that was not a catastrophe; I have my computer and can track online. Then when I put my coat away I saw the stitching in the sleeve is coming undone, that needs to be fixed now. Since I used my debit card last night I went online to check my balance. After I pay all my bills I will have $3 in my checking account.

The next thing happened when I tried to type a letter. I got the new letterhead from the R drive and when I hit return, the curser spaced! Couldn’t get it to do anything else! I had to get an old letter and take D’s name out of it. Then I bit the inside of my lip so hard it bled.

I thought when I left to go home my bad day was over. After all, M had called and told me the water bottles had come and were pretty. I was sitting on the train knitting when I heard someone mention the train was late. Then T announced there was a problem with the doors. ARGGG. We left GCT 10 minutes late. We got to Tarrytown at 5:55 p.m., Croton Harmon at 6:03 p.m., Peekskill at 6:12 p.m., Garrison at 6:21 p.m., Cold Spring at 6:23 p.m. and finally Beacon at 6:28 p.m.

And then when I got home I found my WW journal in my knitting bag. So I had it with me all day!
Well, I went to work out, used my new water bottle, which I really like, and now am ready to mend my coat so I can wear it tomorrow when I meet Casey. I want to wear it because it is easy to spot and I told her I would be wearing it.

Did you know that bathroom sink faucets account for more than 15 percent of indoor household water use-more than 1 trillion gallons of water across the United States each year?
In the near future, bathroom sink faucets will be eligible for the WaterSense label. On February 8, 2007 the WaterSense program released the draft specification for bathroom sink faucets. The draft specification will be open for review and comment through March 23, 2007. EPA will accept written comments and hold a public meeting via a telephone conference call on March 1 to discuss stakeholder comments. Following the comment period, EPA will make any necessary revisions to the certification criteria, publish the final specification, and allow manufacturers to begin to certify and label their products. Please review the fact sheet on high-efficiency bathroom sink faucets at EPA for more information on how we can reduce water use in the home.

Gripes

Hi all. I had WI today. 127.2 pounds, down 0.4 pounds, total loss 12.8 pounds. To answer Barb’s question about where I was, Feb 5-7, (M-T-W) I was at the Marriott in Time Square, (no computer) Thursday and Friday I was home (Dial-up Internet connection). Tuesday I came home early and found Stitch in a panic cause the kitchen pipes for the hot water were frozen. Then on Thursday the furnace died. Friday morning I was too cold to get out of bed. So I didn’t get a workout in from Monday to Wednesday. Thursday I got a light workout in, Friday a little more of a workout, then Saturday I was cleaning the basement because they are supposed to be bringing a new furnace this week. I was going to go workout after but Fred starting bugging me about going with me to play racquetball and I didn’t want the extra pressure so I just said forget it and didn’t go. Sunday morning I made up for it with an hour long step aerobics class . My legs are sore. So that was my week. Oh, except I got a letter from my mother that upset me. Don’t ask, don’t ask, OK, you can ask, but I won’t answer. Thanks for listening, aren’t you sorry you asked now?

I am so glad to be back to my normal routine, almost, can’t do my laundry like I normally do. But I had my oatmeal and pineapple this a.m. instead of ½ an everything bagel with cream cheese and I will have my salad (I never in my life thought I would WANT to have a salad, actually look forward to it) for lunch. Hopefully things will start moving (to put it delicately, any other way would be TMI) and I will lose. I mean, I did lose, but only 0.4 pounds. Which means I have another 0.4 pounds to lose to make up for my gain 2 weeks ago. Took me a day to gain it, and at least 3 weeks to lose it. I am back on track, I went to a step aerobics class yesterday morning. The teacher is also my friend’s WW leader so she knows me so I have to do good. My legs are so sore, I am such a wimp. ♥♪

My Heart

Today is GoRedForWomen’sHeartHealth. I am wearing my red sweater, my red dress necklace, my ruby earrings, my ruby and pink sapphire ring and my red lace bra. OOPS TMI!

WW Progress notes

Last weigh in I was 128.2 pounds. That a gain of 0.4 pounds. I know why, M and I went to Chevy’s on Saturday and I had the whole lunch. This week I read a post that when you eat out, you need to increase your water because of how much sodium is in restaurant food. I went on their website and checked the sodium level. She was right! That’s why I gained 1.4 pounds in a day. Saturday I was 126.8 pounds. Last night when I went home I ate: a grilled cheese sandwich, a brownie, some Doritos, some slices of pepperoni, drank a glass of milk. And as I was wondering if I should have more Doritos or another brownie, M. called to tell me she was coming home and I could go work out if I want to (I was watching her two youngest for her). It was a good thing, since now I definitely needed to! I’m just wondering how she knew I was eating all her food. Today I feel sick. But I think I just eliminated the problem.
