>Just hanging around

>Not much going on. I had a doctor’s appointment. My dermatologist so I left work early, got a sandwich at the deli and ate it in Central Park.
These are new, bleachers set up around Columbus Circle. I didn’t ask anyone, but I am assuming they are for the Macy’s 83rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade since this website says the parade comes past here.

While I was at Columbus Circle I also took this photo. Trees already decorated for Christmas, well I posted a picture in a previous post. I took that picture with my cell phone which is not designed for night pictures. Saturday I am coming back with my camera, see if the “night” feature works. Tigger is coming with me.

Also the Christmas fair has started at Bryant Park.Em and I ate at this restaurant, and I blogged about it here.

That’s about it.

>I am so glad it is Halloween

>Yes really, cause it means it will be OVER soon. I hate Halloween. Even so it was an O.K. day. Went to Allsport with Em, did the elliptical and weights. Then she and D went out to lunch. I was bored and wanted to go out, I also wanted lunch. Tigger mentioned candy corn, and so off we went, stopped to eat and I got a lemonade, which I managed to spill all over my jacket. It seems every time I wear that jacket I get something on it.

Then we went to Target where I had the second disappointment of the day. No regular candy corn, they had the ‘harvest’ candy corn and ‘caramel’ candy corn. So Tigger picked up some Hot Tamales and I got some milk duds. While leaving Target, Tigger turned to me and said, “Halloween has changed, it is no longer about trying to get free candy, now it is, how much like a whore can a pre-teen girl look?” He went on to say he just a girl, couldn’t have been more then 10 with a skirt just covering her butt.

Since I had already planned to go to the laundromat, the lemonade on the jacket was no big deal. I got Gwen to go with me, washed the jacket and my whites and put them in the dryer, and the jacket wouldn’t dry. When I got home my clothes from the other are also still not dry. The de-humidifier is gone, so I have a fan set up, hopefully it will help them dry so I can wear something Monday.

>Wouldn’t you know

>that as soon as I sent that e-mail post I would remember what I had wanted to say. So here goes, this morning I saw a weird thing at GCT.

There was this man with either a design shaved into his hair or a tattoo on the back of his head, and it was a skull! So he had eyes and nose and creepy teeth looking at you while he walked away from you.
I was trying to find a skull picture to post here, but they were all too creepy, well there was this really cool purple one, but I wasn’t able to copy it.

Sick day today

as you probably already realize. I am kind of mad at the router, I can’t get videos to play on my computer from the web. Sometimes they play great sometimes, they . . . play . . . like . . . this. It is quite frustrating.

So as I was trying to watch NCIS: Los Angeles I get a text from Em asking if I am coming upstairs to her party. I had completely forgotten about her jewelry party, so not only did I come upstairs, I bought 3 pieces of jewelry and won a necklace in one of the party games. Then we sat around and talked, cause the kids and husband were still up at DCC watching Star Trek.

Tomorrow she is going to the city. She has an appointment to get her nails done. It is supposed to rain. This might be one time I won’t go with her. Depends on how I feel tomorrow. Of course, I will let you know.

>No time for blogging

>right now I am in the park. I have 45 minutes until my doctor’s appointment and it is a 4 minute walk. Last night I was busy, not to busy to blog like I wrote in my title, but when I was done with everything I just didn’t feel like it.

First I went to Sam Ashe (for Em) to get a lyre for a clarinet and a flip thingy (yes she laughed at me in the store {shrug}) for Fred. When I got home I had to go to Stop N Shop and then I had to dye my roots. Since I haven’t done it in a while I made a mess of it and have a dark streak on my cheek {sigh}.

The Yankee game was delayed because of rain so I was up late watching it, then I downloaded Episode 1 of Season 7 of NCIS (it wouldn’t play good on the website), I ended up having to put my computer aside while I was sleeping so it could finish. And one more thing, when I first sat down here I got surrounded by birds, checking to see if I had any food. NYC birds are very bold.

>Trying to catch up

>So here I am on Sunday night, when I really should be sleeping, trying to watch NCIS. I was at the concert on Tuesday so I missed the season opener and it is not playing on my computer. I am a little bit upset. If I have to buy the episode from iTunes I will not be happy.

I left all my buds on Facebook so I could watch it, well, O.K. I actually left them to come blog, I will give it one more try then if it doesn’t work, just go to bed.

>Monday monday

>It may appear to the casual observer that I am back to the present.

What has happened however is that on the drive to the train station this morning, I remembered details of my drive to the train station Friday when Gwen and I went down to the city. Like how I went to Allsport and then stopped to get a diet Pepsi when I really didn’t have enough time to. When I got home I threw my makeup in my purse and we left with just enough time to get there, then got stuck at the light because of a school bus. I was ready to scream. We made it in time to buy a ticket before the train pulled in.

Then I started to wonder are these details that would make the story more interesting, or minutia that drives away readers? Since this blog publishes to my Facebook wall, my count on sitemeter has gone down, but that doesn’t necessarily mean my readership has gone down. I know people are reading on Facebook because they are commenting.

>and with this post

>I am caught up. Today was a recovery day. I didn’t mention that sometime this week, after Tigger sent me several requests, and made a few in person, I gave them my Sims game. Then I went to Target to buy Sims2. I have played it a few times, but the family I made, which is actually just a couple, seems to have bug in it. I have gotten them to the point were they are sleeping in the same bed, but then I can’t get them to wake up! Even when everything gets totally red, they don’t die, the game just keeps running! They don’t show up in the family panel so I can’t delete them. I hope I don’t have to un-install then install again.

I was the only one who went to church, the rest of the day was spent on Facebook and other computer things. Fred asked me if I had fixed the problem with my family. I said I haven’t even been on it at all today. Maybe tomorrow night, except I have to dye my roots tomorrow because Tuesday is the concert.

>Some changes

>I have deleted my Twitter account. I just wasn’t using it. Of course now someone told about a cool thing you can do with twitter. Oh well.

Yesterday I called in sick to work. One of those days I just didn’t feel like getting up. I feel that way a lot. Usually I just get up and deal with it. Yesterday I decided not to. Stayed in bed until noon. I did take a walk, then go with Em to Allsport. When we got there she made a stalking comment. Then she mentioned how I didn’t say anything, I said, “I didn’t even roll my eyes.” She noticed and wanted to know why, I told her, “I realized today that I have 4 pictures of Derek Jeter on my cell phone.” That doesn’t even come close to how many I have on my computer. I think I am approaching that line separating fan from obsessed fan.

>This is how my brain functions

>or maybe I should say disfunctions. This happened yesterday and I completely forgot about it while I was blogging last night.

Yesterday Stitch needed my car, I asked him while he had it to check the air in the tires and told him how to do it. When I got home, first they didn’t open the train doors for forever! O.K. it was only like 5 minutes but when you’ve been on a train for over an hour and you’re at your stop, you want to get off and go home, not stand there waiting for the doors to open! Then when I get in the car Stitch tells me he didn’t do what I asked for two reasons (1) he didn’t have time (big eye roll); (2) he doesn’t know how to do it since he has to watch someone do something to learn how to do it. Since he had never watched anyone check the air in tires (yeah, right) he doesn’t know how to do it. This led Tigger to say, “Don’t get married ’cause you’ve never watched porn.” Please say you get the connection so I don’t have to explain it.

So after the train doors not opening and me sending a text message to Tigger saying ‘Let me out of here NOW!’ Then having to stop to put air in the tires by the time I got home I didn’t feel like going to Allsport. So I had Tigger drive up to Ron’s. So instead of burning calories I consumed them. Got to stop doing that.
