>Time for bed

>So I really shouldn’t be sitting here on my computer, but I will not be here tomorrow. Work, then my nails, then the game. Em and I have tickets for the NYY vs. CWS at Yankee Stadium. That is kind of a DUH moment, since where else would we go to watch the Yankees?

I am also trying to catch up with my blogging posts. I have to blog every day, actually twice a day right now to match what I blogged last year. It is just an obsession with me to keep up. I don’t know why I feel like this, especially when I should be getting my bag ready for my long day so I will say good-night. I have my postcard post ready and it will post tomorrow, and then I will have to link it up later.

>Early morning fail

>This week I was going to get up and catch the 5:57 a.m. train. The FAIL in my blog post title should tell you how I did. Fotunately my idiot co-worker is not here to annoy me so my day is not totally sucking.

My co-worker who is a Mets fan just told me Yankee fans are over-confidant. She obviously doesn’t read the comments on the newspaper articles. So I guess she was talking about me since I am not upset about about the Yankees losing last night. I always thought if you were a fan, you are supposed to believe your time is going eventually triumph. I guess that’s what happens when you root for the Mets, you settle for loss and lose hope of winning.

>Trying to get back

>To my blogging. I think the only way is to start blogging again by e-mail, that way at least something is going up. Since baseball has started up I have been concentrating my attention there. Time to find some balance.

Em and I went to the game last night, got home very late hence I am super tired right now. Add to that the fact that I am getting my nails done (regular appointment) adds to the longness of today and means I will miss most of today’s game.

On the other hand I still love my Palm Pre.

>Yesterday

>was a slow train day. I didn’t realize how many people had Good Friday off. When I got to GCT it seemed as if there were more soldiers there then regular people. It was kind of creepy.

The office was the same and the building, since there are mainly government offices in there and the government doesn’t give off for religious holidays (well except for Christmas) everybody was there. Except my boss who took off because his son’s daycare was closed.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, sun was shining, I had my nail appointment my so my nails are also beautiful but this morning when I got up and looking the mirror, my face looked really bad. The skin looked …. yukky? I don’t really know how to describe it. I hope I’m not getting sick. Probably just because I am so tired. Yeah that’s what I’ll say.

I worked some on the bag I started a long long time ago and when it is done I plan on fixing my Yankee earrings. I ordered some new ones, different style but they won’t be here by tomorrow.

Well I can’t think of anything else to say. Have a good evening.

I am annoyed

and not just with my co-worker (who I might just kill before I leave work tonight). I was thinking I would start with the minor annoyances and move up, then I realized they were all minor. I mean, if they were major, they would be problems not annoyances.

The first is I can’t customize my Yankee blog. It is on MLB.com and they have 3 different templates and no way to add widgets or any cool stuff. It is their site and apparently they want the blogs to have a more or less uniform look. I already found out they censor the language. **laughs** I suppose I could always start another blog with blogger and make it pretty, but I have no way of transferring my blog posts to it, or I don’t really want to try, so I will just go along with a Yankee blog with no cool gadgets. I will just have to dress it up with pictures of cool guys.

The other thing that annoyed me today was I had a blog post all typed out on my phone to send, I pressed said, I got a message that said there was a problem, try again, so I did and the message was deleted. I was very annoyed because I jammed my thumbnail last night and it hurts to type out on my phone. The train was pulling into GCT so there was no time to retype it. It took me that long because I kept falling asleep. I am now wondering if I should include jamming my thumbnail as an annoyance, but I don’t think I will, that is more like an injury then an annoyance.

Now that I start listing these things it seems there are not that many things annoying me right now. I can only thing of one more thing. Wachovia is annoying me. I had insufficient fund fees over $200 last month (this week). What really annoys me, is I went to get cash Monday and I checked the balance first, the ATM showed a balance of around $80 dollars. So I got $20 out, one of the overdraft charges is for that withdrawal, it seems at that point I was already overdrawn. If the ATM had showed a negative balance, I wouldn’t have gotten money out. I hate Wachovia. I used to think they were an O.K. bank. Now I hate them.

That seems to be it. I can’t think of anything else bothering me, and now that I have written this out, these things are no longer bothering me. My blog is my therapist.

Yankees are coming!

You will notice I put a countdown on my blog. This is to opening day Yankees vs. Red Sox in Boston, then I will change it to the first game that Em and I will be going to at Yankee Stadium. I tried very hard to get tickets to the home opener but it hasn’t happened yet. I don’t think its going to happen even though I will continue to try and check out websites.

Last year I promised to not blog about the Yankees. I have not kept that promise, I just stopped blogging here by making a blog on MLB.com. The blog is called: The Foxx Loves the Yankees. It is mostly about the Yankees, a little personal stuff thrown in so you know its me.

Another change I made to my blog is I widened it to accommodate the countdown widget. Also, the site where I got the widget has countdowns for many events, not just sports, if you want a countdown widget for your blog, check it out! Birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, wedding, all sorts of events, and sports too.

>Sunshine today

>bright sunshine in my window, suposed to stay like this until Sunday, when Em and the boys and I are going to be driving to Newark for a concert. Sigh. Reminds me I need to get the ticket from her.

So much to do and so little time to get it done. I have to file my taxes, I have to scan a postcard for this Friday, I am determined not to miss this week. What else do I need to do this week hmm. Oh yes, check on my bank account and check with the eye place about ordering new contacts and keep checking on Yankee tickets for the home opener.

>anyway

>MetroNorth is back on their regular schedule today. They definitely know how to operate in the frozen north. The most trouble I had getting to work was the ice on the sidewalk between the subway stop and the office and the ice in the parking lot – slip sliding away -.

That is not to say I had a good start to my day. I overslept so I missed my train, have a wicked headache, guy next to me on the train dropped something (no idea what) on my leg and the last thing, I got to work at 8:10, my boss was already in and when he came out of his office at 8:15 he said ‘Good afternoon’. Way to piss me off! Total shit.

On the plus side, I do know some nice guys, one reminded me about pitcher & catchers & spring training, the other one agreed that ‘men are pretty much dogs’. Yeah but some are lovable dogs.

>Another day but not just another day

>Today Tigger has an appointment with a doctor in the city. The last doctor he went to see for his ‘mysterious’ illness suggested Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Em decided she would find a doctor in the city. I didn’t ask, but she is probably thinking that if he ends up having to go to this doctor long term, this way she won’t have to change his doctor. Kind of what I’m doing with my doctor’s.

In other news, after taking my piercing money (o.k. He didn’t really TAKE it, just talked me out of it) Tigger ordered the wrong ram, so now he has to order the right ram, which of course is more expensive.

Em and I are going to see Rob Thomas talk about music in April, in March we are going to see Five For Fighting. We might be taking Fred since he started doing his homework when offered the reward of a concert.

And the last thing I want to say is 14 days till pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training.

>Sometimes,

>I am a real dork.

Example No. 1.

I thought I had a scratch on my eyelid. For about a week, give or take a few days, I was putting Vaseline and Neosporin on it, then one morning I was looking at it and said to myself, “That’s not a scratch, that’s eczema!” My doctor told me it would come back with the cold weather. So now I am putting that medicine on it and it is clearing up.

Example No. 2.

I got an e-mail from the Yankee Fan Club that Joe Girardi was going to be signing autographs at the AT&T store in Time Square. So I went there and planned to get an autograph and tell him something, and all I said was “Thank you.” For the full story, complete with pictues you will have to go to my MLB blog The Foxx Loves the Yankees.
