>No time for blogging

>right now I am in the park. I have 45 minutes until my doctor’s appointment and it is a 4 minute walk. Last night I was busy, not to busy to blog like I wrote in my title, but when I was done with everything I just didn’t feel like it.

First I went to Sam Ashe (for Em) to get a lyre for a clarinet and a flip thingy (yes she laughed at me in the store {shrug}) for Fred. When I got home I had to go to Stop N Shop and then I had to dye my roots. Since I haven’t done it in a while I made a mess of it and have a dark streak on my cheek {sigh}.

The Yankee game was delayed because of rain so I was up late watching it, then I downloaded Episode 1 of Season 7 of NCIS (it wouldn’t play good on the website), I ended up having to put my computer aside while I was sleeping so it could finish. And one more thing, when I first sat down here I got surrounded by birds, checking to see if I had any food. NYC birds are very bold.

>Snow Patrol

>As I mentioned before, Tuesday we went to the Snow Patrol concert at the Beacon Theatre, it is really beautiful inside. Very ornate. It was a great show. The day leading up to it was not so great, including but not limited to a two mile walk from the subway to the hotel, in Queens!

Here is my ticket for Snow Patrol. It was an amazing concert. My seat was in the very top row, kind of in the corner. I wasn’t real happy with it, I was a little bit, “It’s too far up!”, until I realized that being in the last row meant I could stand and dance and not disturb anyone behind me. And being in the corner meant there was a place to put my purse and glass that I had my Makers Mark in that I was keeping as a souvenir. I got a key ring too. The key ring is for Snow Patrol, the glass is for the Beacon Theatre. If you are on Facebook and are my friend you can see the pictures. If not, hopefully by the time I post this the pictures will be in my slideshow. Or you can send me a friend request on FB.

Once we got to Manhattan, after checking into the hotel and getting a cab to the subway. Things got a little better. We walked up Broadway, somehow ended up on Amsterdam, found this little restaurant for dinner. Then the show, where I got asked for my I.D. for getting a glass of bourbon because the little girl serving didn’t think I looked over 30!

Tigger mentioned how ‘gay’ the lead singer was, that’s not the complete story, but I will talk more about that later. I am going to try to get up early tomorrow so I can blog some more. I am 4 blog posts behind my quota!

>Having a GOOD time!

>So here I am at the legendary Beacon Theatre with Tigger and Em to see Snow Patrol, up until we got to Manhattan my day pretty much sucked.

Then as we were standing on the street corner and Em couldn’t see the theatre that was at Broadway and 73rd, I looked at the street sign, ‘Amsterdam’. So we walked one block over and here we are. I got a drink and the little girl asked to see my ID. So I can still pass for 29.

My seat is in the very top row, there are two ways to look at this. You could say, ‘this sucks! I can’t see anything!’ Or you could stand and shout ‘I’m on top of the world!’ just don’t do that to many times in a crowded theatre.

>Bedtime

>but I just wanted to post some more. Problem is, I can’t remember what I had to say. I need to type my review of Dancing with Ana, so I can then post my review of The White Queen, tomorrow the contest ends. So if you haven’t entered, get over there and enter!

After work Nick and I went to Kohl’s (yes I know I was supposed to go to Allsport, I was too tired) and I got another pair of shorts. I also tried on this really cute skirt. It fit but it was too short. Tomorrow is the Loggins & Messina concert. I am not going, Em and Gwen are going and maybe D. Gwen wants me to use her real name in here but I am so used to Gwen, and besides you already know her as Gwen and that would just confuse everything.

I am now caught up with the number of posts for this month, I just have to post twice a day until the end of the month. With nothing going on, expect short posts.

I really need

to start posting again. I mean really posting, not just the crap I’ve putting out lately. Well except for the Postcards. That’s not crap.

Sunday afternoon, Em, Tigger and I went to the city. The Fray concert that had been cancelled was rescheduled on Monday. Em decided it would be better to stay over then get up at 4 to catch the 4:30 a.m. train. We still had to get up EARLY to get there in time to get in. As we were waiting in line this guy came walking by asking if we would like a fan pass, he had an extra one. I was thinking “How hard would Em hit me if I grabbed it?” when Tigger yells out, I’ll take it! Em of course had ‘given him the nod’. He sent me a text saying someone was handing out extra fan passes so I walked up to see if I could get one. Some girls started screaming, my first thought was that they must have seen a band member, turned out it was a cockroach. A man who heard them and saw me looking asked me what it was. When I told him a cockroach, he shook his head and said, “Must not be New Yorkers.” Anyway, I didn’t find the person with the fan passes so Em and I had to stand with the masses while Tigger was right in front of the stage.

After the performance was over we walked around some, not too much cause Tigger’s foot was hurting him. Still that night I was so tired I thought I was going to throw up.

Tomorrow, or later today I mean, is my regular day off (RDO), or Pass Day as the Department likes to call it and Em and I are going to the city so she can get her nails done. We have some other things planned, but some of them fell through. I will try to get back tomorrow evening to fill you in.

>After the game and today

>I am still behind on my posting. Sometimes I think I will never catch up. So we didn’t go home right after the game. I mean we weren’t planning on it, even though Em was up at 3:00 a.m. to come to the Today Show so Tigger and Fred could see Rob Thomas. Em had to tell me what her ‘brilliant’ son did. He was in the men’s room and the drummer comes in, asks him how he enjoyed the show and he says, “It was fine.” ARGGG! Fred was like, “YOU IDIOT!” Tigger said he didn’t recognize him. Em told him, to study the faces of the Fray so if that happens when we come down he won’t make the same goof.

Anyway, after the game we took the subway to Columbus Circle and then walked around Central Park, then we started down to Grand Central. We were on 7th because according to my notebook, there is a Yankee store on 7th Ave and I wanted to get some Yankee stuff. Like a red Yankee Cap(more on that later). Well we didn’t see it and according to SuperPages, it isn’t there anymore. But before we got to where it was supposed to be, we stopped for dinner. It was a nice little Italian restaurant called Trattoria Dell’arte, they had this cute little wrappers around their napkins with their name on the inside and we got to sit outside. So we had a nice dinner even if I didn’t get to the Yankee Store, that wasn’t there.
Today I took the kids to see Ice Age. I left them at the theater and I went shopping. I found the MLB store in the mall, it had jerseys, but they were huge, I think the smallest was x-large. Then I found the Lids Store and got a red cap. You see, the Yankee’s wore red caps at the game. I realize now it was for the 4th of July. I still wanted a red one. So I got one, rather expensive, and after I bought it and left the store, I realized it was wool, so I had to return it. I ended up with the game day hat, which is not wool, more expensive, and I didn’t like it as much. I might return it too. It is in the bag in my hatch until I decide.
The rest of today I just wanted to sit on my bed and read and play online, Tigger kept bugging me, to go driving, to go get him candy. Well, now it is bedtime and I still haven’t written my review.

>Back to work

>Back to work today. The Boss was not in on Friday either, so my work is now even farther behind. Tomorrow I am out in the field, so still no work will get done. Well, actually we got some done. But we still don’t have the big job done.

Em came with me this morning. She didn’t come to work with me, just to the city. Taking the day since Saturday was graduation. So she got a manicure, a pedicure and her eyebrows waxed. Then she walked around the city, texting me as she went. She had a good time, but her blister is back and was really painful by the time we went home.
The boys had a fire tonight, finally! And I couldn’t find the cable for my iPod™, I even sent a text to Tigger asking if he had it and could you buy them etc, then I found it and had to send him another text, “Nevermind”

So now I am going to say goodnight. I don’t know when I will be able to check in tomorrow. Till then.

>Busy busy

>Last Friday we went to see The Fray, Jack’s Mannequin also performed. It was a good show, with a cute bald guy in tight pants. He was one of the lead singers, and the pianist. It was in NJ, the other option was Connecticut. We got home at 1 or 2 a.m. I can’t remember.

Saturday we got up early, Em found a theater playing the Narrows. So we went to see it, then took the subway back to Manhattan to look for a fabric store, by the time we got there it was closed. So we stopped at Marie Belle for chocolate, then took a cab back to Annie Moore’s. My knee was bothering me and we were both kind of tired from two long days. I know that sounds like we didn’t do much, I guess we didn’t, just kind of walked around in the rain, bought umbrellas and you know, just kind of hung out.

>The Fray!

>Going to see The Fray!

Going to see The Fray!

Going to see The Fray!

>Back to the gym

>I really wish I had my car in the evenings. Then Em wouldn’t have to take me to the gym. She really prefers exercising earlier, I do to but I don’t have a choice. If I get approved for this 9/10 work schedule I really won’t have time earlier, since I’ll be getting home later, well except for every other Wednesday, then I’ll be able to earlier but just those Wednesday.

D is leaving for Toronto Sunday. Em told me that Tigger said he doesn’t think her i-pod will hook up to her TV, so that means we either have to banish the children from the living room (HA!) or watch it on my laptop. I don’t have a problem watching it on my laptop. So its up to her.

Phantom of the Opera is on my I-pod now. I also got a Phantom ringtone. I am so excited.
