This is another postcard sent me by a friend on vacation. This was a girl from my church who is the same age as me. She went on to marry Em’s brother.


I don’t know why I blocked out my address, since no one in my family even lives in the state of Florida any more. Just habit I guess. One interesting fact, if you look at the dates, she mailed this on August 3rd, I received it on August 23rd. In fact, I called her and said, “Guess what? I got the postcard you sent me from Spain today.”

This is a fun Meme. I first saw it on Daryl’s blog. She encouraged me to join so I did. I was going to post my postcards in order I received them, but looking through them I realized they weren’t in order. So I just decided to mix them up.


I entered a read a fest, which included a drawing for free books and I won a book and a shirt, this postcard was in the book. This is the ‘college’ featured in the book.


And this is the back of the card. This is the book I won and Kristi (as if you couldn’t tell) is the main character in the book. I really like Lisa Jackson’s books and am looking forward to reading this one.

I first saw this fun Meme on Daryl’s blog. She encouraged me to join so here is my first Postcard Friendship Friday.


This was sent to me by a lady in my church. She had gone to Canada to attend a religious convention. I don’t remember her going, I do remember her. You can see the year was 1972, and I was living in Washington State at the time.

I wanted the first postcard I posted to be the oldest one I had, which my Grannie sent me from Italy, but it wasn’t in my keepsake box. I will be very upset if it is gone. I don’t have many things from my Granny.

Today’s MUSING MONDAYS (April 13) post is about blog comments

How do you respond to the comments on your blog? It varies, see next question.

Do you try to email individually or comment on post yourself answering the comments above? I prefer to e-mail in response to comments, that way I know the person can see I responded. This isn’t always possible. I don’t like responding on the post itself because I don’t know if the person comes back to check and I don’t want people to think I am ignoring their comments, cause I’m not.

What do you think is the best way to respond to comments and do you respond to all of them? E-Mail! But no, I don’t respond to all, sometimes the response says it all, sometimes I just don’t know what to say. In that case, I will usually go to that persons blog and post a comment saying, “Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.”

Do you feel slighted if you don’t receive a response back from the blog owner? I used to, unless the blog had like 100 or so comments. Now I have ‘gotten over myself’, LOL!

OK, I had to cheat a little, there was only one picture in my 5th photo file folder. So I believe this is from my 6th file folder but I still used the 5th photo. Here it is.


This was sent to me by e-mail. An amazing series of photos of the dog and bear, and the bear did not try to kill the dog. I don’t remember who sent this to me.

I’m going to cheat again and not tag anyone, just if you have 5 folders of pictures you should do this, it is fun. So the next five readers are tagged! LOL
