>The votes are in

>Everyone who voted thinks the Phantom, from Phantom of the Opera is:

A murderous, deranged, psychopathic, control freak stalker that should be drowned in his own lake.

I want to thank everyone who voted, even though it was just in fun. Now I have to come up with another poll.

The problem I have been having with not showing up as a follower is still going on. Someone said it was because I “blind” followed, but I always follow publicly. I went to the help center and some others are also having this problem. Hopefully it will be solved soon.

Yes, I know I am obsessing about it, but I can’t help it. This is how I am, besides I have to wait for my nails to dry before I can go to bed.

>Phantom of the Opera

>Was so cool, so very, very cool. I loved everything about it, from Christine and Raoul, to Carlotta to the ballet teacher/coach to the little blond girl that would run across the stage, stop, face the audience and sing, ♪♫’The Phan-tom of the Op-er-a’♫♪, then continue across the stage. I have been wanting to see it since, I can’t remember, it become real and I have been actually waiting since the 25th of February when I bought the tickets.

Today started early, I woke up at 5:00 a.m. with a headache. A bad headache, I couldn’t even get up to take the medicine for my rosacea. I finally managed to get up and take it. I went back to bed and then Em started texting me at 6:18 a.m. That is when she left for the city. Gwen was down soon after that because she wanted to have breakfast in the city and ‘explore’. So I struggled out of bed and we caught the train at 7:30 a.m. or so. We had breakfast at Pershing Square. Have I mentioned that Pershing Square is my favorite place for breakfast? I will have to blog about that later.

Then we walked up to Saks and got our make-up done at the Lancôme counter, I really liked the colors he used on my face so I bought them, bronzer, eye shadow and lipstick, I was going to get the gloss but they didn’t have it. I have the name though for later. We continued walking uptown to Central Park, Gwen wanted to go down by the water so we took a little walk through the park. No I do not have pictures, I didn’t bring my camera since we were going to be in a theater later and I know taking pictures is not allowed.

We started back toward the theater stopping for lunch at a place called the Applejack Diner (no they did not serve Applejacks for breakfast, Gwen’s little joke) and got to the theater in plenty of time. I could have brought my camera, after all there were a bunch of teenagers there with their cameras and they did not search us, they didn’t even look in the bag Gwen had, she brought the tote bag she takes to college. I keep remembering how D, Em and I got searched at Radio City Music Hall. Well anyway, it was great. The white spots on the cover of the playbill are where it got damaged from being in my pocketbook. At the end, during the curtain call, as the actors were coming forward, first the ensemble then the main characters, Raoul and Christine and the applause was getting louder with each one, I leaned toward Gwen and said, ‘Wait till the Phantom comes out.’ He came out last and the audience started screaming and everyone was standing, as Gwen later said, ‘It takes a lot of acting skill to play a role like that.’

Then we met up with Em, did a little more walking and went to Annie Moore’s for dinner. It was very late when we got home and I was very tired. I knew Kay would like to see a picture of me with my makeup done, so I took this picture when I got home.

>Still cold

>in the 40’s F today, that would make it about 10° Celsius I believe. So not as cold as yesterday, but still too cold for April! In my humble opinion. Stitch is so cute, after I complained when I asked him how cold it was and his answer was ‘sort of coldish’. He now comes downstairs in the morning to give me a temperature report. This morning it was 44° F. So in his words, not very cold. I think I am going to have to dig out my velvet pants and ivory sweater for Phantom, I don’t think it will be warm enough to wear a dress next Wednesday.

This morning, leaving the subway I had to take the other stairs, the stairs I normally take are closed for repair. The stairs I am now taking bring me out on the side of the street where my office is, unfortunately that is also the side with no sidewalk. So I have to cross the Pulaski Bridge, (6 lanes) with no crosswalk. Not a problem you say? Well normally not, but this morning there was a gazillion traffic cops on the street. OK, maybe only 20 or so, but that meant instead of crossing the bridge, I crossed Jackson Street to where I could cross the bridge with a crosswalk and then crossed back Jackson to go to my office. All so I would not upset the nice (grr) people with the bright yellow safety vests and white kid gloves. And guns. I think they had guns, I try not to stare at them. This afternoon when I walked back to get lunch there was only two there. Maybe the rest were at lunch?

>So so

>That is how my internet connection is, so I am typing this in a hurry to get it in here.

The tickets for Phantom came, they are safe and sound in my underwear drawer. Well at $XXX each I wasn’t about to risk putting them someplace where I would forget them!

Em has a list of movies for us to watch when D is in Toronto. Full Metal Jacket, Signs of Live (One for Sorrow, Two for Joy), Mystic Pizza and/Or Thumbsucker. This is what I was doing today when I should have been working. Besides plotting ways to kill my very annoying co-worker, who almost got flattened when he raised his fist to me.

>All stuffed up, caught a cold, blech

>Em and I are going to the city Saturday. Yes, I will go even with a cold. Just take a box of tissues and I will be fine (I hope).

So today she is sending me e-mails about her horrible no good week, I cannot go into details here but she asked about getting a massage, I started thinking, where did I just read about someone getting a massage? It was Daryl on her blog, so I went to Google, opened my reader and started reading through her post until I found it. Then I sent an e-mail to Em with the name. Exhale Spa.

Of course she wanted me to call to find out how much $ and make the appointment. So then I googled the name and found the website with the phone number. Called to make an appointment for two massages on Saturday, well, the only times that were available were times we couldn’t make. So I made an appointment for her, said I would go another day, HA the girl who doesn’t like to be touched is going to get a massage? Don’t think so.

It’s ok, since she offered to pay for the massage and I’m not getting one, I asked her to pay for my hair appointment. She did, and now I have no more gray.

Then this cold hit, you know how you can be just sneezing and no other symptoms, then all of a sudden, in a second it feels like your have this sinus pressure headache and you are all stuffed up and have no idea how you are going to be able to sleep. I have no cold medicine to take, I used my netti pot but that isn’t lasting. I might sneak upstairs to see if Em has anything I can take. It is too late to take a Tylenol® PM, but that wouldn’t help with the cold symptoms anyway.

On a brighter note, I ordered the tickets for Phantom! Gwen and I are going in April. She needs to for school, Em is having her Administrative Professionals Day so I get to go with Gwen and we are going to see Phantom!
