>No work today

>Today was a day off work for me. I had a doctor’s appointment middle of the afternoon so I took the whole day. In the morning Gwen and I ran errands, oops I forgot, that was after I downloaded about 40 free books from the Sony E-Store. We had lunch then went to Target because I wanted to get a fork and spoon for work. I couldn’t find any in with the dishes, just sets, then I had the crazy idea to look in camping supplies. There was an Eddie Bauer knife, fork and spoon in a little carrying case. Gwen saw a ‘camping’ Swiss Army tool, it has a fork and spoon, a bottle opener and little knife. She thought that would be handy for college, it is a good size, small enough to carry with her and big enough she won’t lose in in her bag. So we (I) got both. Then we went to the bank and to the library, the Star Trek Voyager DVD’s were in. Then we came home and I took a quick bath and remembered I was out of conditioner. So after the doctor’s visit I went back to Target to get conditioner for my hair.

Is anyone awake? Is anyone still reading this?

Well just two more things I wanted to say. Last night when Stitch, Gwen and I were driving home, Gwen was in the front and Stitch was in the back, Gwen started to tell me about when they were watching Anne of Green Gables, the rest of the DVD’s she got from the library, all of a sudden Stitch pipes up from the back seat, “No! Don’t tell her!” Gwen continues, “Stitch cried 3 times.

Then today, while I was sitting waiting for the Doctor in the examining room, I was thinking, “I went to the bathroom and peed before my bath, then I got dressed and drove to the doctor’s office. When I got to the doctor’s office they wanted a urine sample, so I peed again, so how come with all that peeing and no drinking, why do I now feel like I have to pee?”

That’s that’s all folks.

>My toy is here

>My Sony Reader came today. It is pretty and I put the two e-books I got to review on it. I am also thinking about buying two books, just for kicks. True crime of course. Only problem is, I am afraid to take it out of my bedroom! I am afraid I will either break it or it will get stolen.

I went to order the dresses from Chadwicks, two of them no longer available. So I picked out a couple other dresses. I should be all set for summer. If it is warm enough this Saturday, I am wearing a dress to the city.

>N. Y. C.

>They sang that song in Annie. Then the day after, yesterday, Em, Fred and I went to Manhattan. Got a late start since we both had some things to do before. She had to get the oil changed in her car and I had to take Gwen to the library and get gas for my car and get coffee. Gwen got a snack when I was getting coffee. Coffee is important right? I took my green bag so I could take my book The All-True Travels and Adventures of Lidie Newton by Jane Smiley. I read it on the train down to the city and back home. Since it was a little warmer then past trips, I was looking for a lighter jacket to wear and found my black quilted one with the pretty silver pin.

Em is trying to plan one thing to do each time we go down. She wanted to take Fred to the FDNY museum, I wanted to get my nails done. One of them came off, I didn’t have any glue so I tried sticking it back on with clear nail polish, that didn’t work, and I didn’t get around to getting gel on it until before the nail split and I had 9 long and one short. HATE THAT!

We walked to SoHo(that’s where the museum was). Em figured we could find a salon there and they would go to the museum and I would go get my nails done. Well, that didn’t work out. So after we went through the museum (which was kind of lame compared to the NYPD museum) we started back toward GCT, keeping our eyes open for a nail salon. On the way we stopped at Banana Republic, Em was looking at dresses, I pulled out this orange dress (according to the website it’s Leon Coral) as I did that Em walked from the back of the store and said, “You would look so freakin’ hot in that!” I didn’t try it on, there was a line for the dressing room and we didn’t want to leave Fred alone in the store and she was the one looking for a dress, I just happened to find one. Anyway, I wasn’t going to spend that much for a dress without trying it on so I didn’t get it.

We found a nail place on Madison, Em and Fred kept walking and I went in, the plan was to meet them at Annie Moore’s. We ended up meeting at GCT and I got a pasta dish from one of the little take away places downstairs and eating it on the train. I didn’t get the nails polished, decided to do that at home, then when I got home I couldn’t decide what color!

So I lined up my bottles of polish to try to decide.Should I go dark, it’s not spring yet, but it is going to be spring next week, so what color, the lavender or blue or maybe that grass green polish? Or should I be traditional, rose or red or mauve, this is so difficult!

I eventually decided on the lavender, but it took me until just now!

>Sorry Sorry

>I went to my iGoogle home page and saw those headlines. I don’t know why I posted them here, they make me sad. I am sorry if I upset anyone.

On a lighter note, I have decided I am never using soap on my face again. I didn’t wash my face last night, yes I know, disgusting! Really, I used my cold cream ’cause the soap I bought, that is supposed to be designed for faces and make-up, wasn’t taking the make-up off. Today, I really liked the way my face looked, so from now on, no more soap on my face.

And I used part of my tax return to buy a Sony Reader. I ordered it from one store, then I noticed that if I ordered it from the Sony website I wouldn’t have to pay shipping. I called the store and canceled my order. Then I went on the Sony website where I found out it comes in 3 colors, so I ordered it in Sangria Red, and then I noticed, free engraving, so I had it engraved with Bella is reading . . . which is the name of my book blog. I can’t wait for it to come.

>The e-mail came from the big boss and I submitted my application. I indicated what day I wanted and I have already figured out the train schedule. Now I just have to wait and see if it is approved. I will be so happy is I only have to work 9 days a pay period.

Today was allergy shot day. My arm is sore, but I got more reading time! I took Tylenol® so I should sleep ok. If I ever get to bed that is. I also went to the gym after my shot. Yay for me. Then I came home and took Gwen to DD so she could take a picture of the sign. For school, of course. She is getting very inventive at fulfilling her assignments. She needed one of the boys to download the picture to the computer though. Still not that technologically savvy.

I hate having such short posts, but I can’t think of anything else to say.

>Went to work today

>and it was a miserable yucky day. I suppose I could have said one and you would have guessed the other, but it was both so I said both.

I didn’t get the snow day I was hoping for. We only got like 4 inches so I swept off the car and Stitch and I went to the train station. When I got to the city it was starting to warm up, by mid-morning it was raining like crazy. That meant, when I went out to lunch, my feet got wet and then they got cold, tomorrow I have to take a pair of socks in to leave there in case this happens again. It’s always a good idea to have spare socks in your office in winter.

My boss didn’t come in so it was a relatively calm day. Boring, but calm. He is planning on being there tomorrow.

I just posted my interview with Matthew Cory on my book blog, Bella is reading …, I was very nervous about it. I kind of said I would do it without thinking. Now that I have done it, I am kind of glad I did.

Now I have to check some of my other sites, then go to bed.

>No church today.

>Canceled, probably because of the snow. I don’t know for a fact because I have not been upstairs yet.

Last night when I plugged in my I-pod to add the song Tigger bought, I-tunes said it had an update, so I downloaded it, then the computer said it need to restart so I said O.K., well the computer froze on the restart. I had to unplug the laptop and wait for it to shutdown, I turned it back on so and it was still frozen! So I unplugged it again, it turned off, I waited an hour, still frozen. So I unplugged it and left it over night. As you can see, it is working now but when I woke up this morning I was a little unsure about turning it on, when I did, I got the frozen screen said Oh No, then it went off and the computer finished the start up. I should remember from now on, to shut down the computer, this has happened before.

So now I am just sitting here blogging and listening to the radio, I just combined Tigger’s station with mine. OK, I don’t really like this song, but its not horrible. I clicked ‘I don’t like this song’ once before and I got this cute message, “We’re sorry! We’ll never play it again.”

Anyway, I forgot to check back in with Weight Watchers message boards so I need to do that now.

>Good morning

>Saturday morning and I should be up and getting dressed, but I stayed up late last night playing on here and finishing Helter Skelter. I didn’t have time to write my review. I will have to do that after we get home from the city.

Em and I are taking Stitch and Fred this time. It should be interesting since it is cold and Stitch is a whiner. The whole day has been carefully planned out this time.

There was something else I was going to say and it has ‘poof’ disappeared. But I really have to go.

>Yesterday

>my I-pod arrived. Tigger wanted to come downstairs to ‘see’ it, it looks just like Em’s I said. Except it has my name engraved on it. So then he says, if you need any help call me, yeah right sure says I, well less than 10 minutes after I plugged it in I was on my phone asking him for help, and 2 more times after that! I got all my songs on it though I had to do them one at a time, add them to the I-Tunes library, then copy them to the I-Pod Nano. I brought it to work and the only reason I am not listening to it is because the ear buds don’t fit my ears and hurt them and fall out. I really wish I had normal ears.

I went to Bryant Park, back to where Em got the earrings and got the black pearl necklace to wear with it. Only Tigger knows and he promised not to tell, I only hope I don’t let the cat out of the bag. Anyway, it was $20 off and I got a free notebook. I think I am going to use the notebook as a book journal. It has a hard cover and I can stick it under my pillow and the pages won’t get ruined.

Right now all I do with my book journal is write the book title and when I finished it. Since I have started writing reviews, I want to put a little more in my journal. I think this book will work nice, since you can take pages out and put them back in. I mean, you can move them around. So if you read something ahead of something else you can keep your pages in the right order.

>Last day of the month

>and I have not missed any days posting, I think. Anyway I beat the number of posts from last month. As I type this Snowy Bear is watching me. You would have laughed if you had been here when he fell of the bed I was calling, Snowy Bear Snowy Bear don’t fall! He landed on his face right on the floor. I had to rescue him. He is more fuzzy then fluffy now. He still looks good. But since he sits next to my pillow all the time and has been sat on a couple of times, it has had an effect on him.

I got a box to send that pillow to my mom. The one I got the day Em and I went to Tavern on the Green and got soaked to the skin. I still need to tape it up and address it. I also should put a card or something in with it. I also need to wrap up everything in the box for that other person I am sending stuff to. I am planning to mail everything on Wednesday since I have a doctor’s appointment that day and either won’t be going to work or will be going in late.

Today I didn’t get up until 1:00 or so. I feel much better now. Got another e-mail from Cookie. She is doing as well as can be expected. I still haven’t sent out her card. I need to do that. I think I will have to do that and read more in Helter Skelter after I leave here.
