Have a good weekend!
Thank you Aggie!
>and I have to agree with ‘BOOW‘ that Lipton is rubbish. Actually I think he said that ALL American tea is rubbish.
Have I ever said that I like the way the British use the word ‘rubbish’? They use it for lots of things, not just when they are talking about trash. Also, I like the way my mouth feels when you say it, my lips smack together on the b’s.
Back to tea, I was going to try a British tea so I went to Amazon and ‘GASP’ $8.00+ for a box of tea?! Well, I’m American so I think I can be forgiven for sticking with Twinings. Besides I can buy Twinings loose. The loose tea is what is in the jar, which is actually an olive jar. I kept spilling the tea when I was wrestling with the tin it came in. These little jars are quite handy, I use one as a little bank on my desk at work.
Got these dollar coins when I bought M’s train ticket. I noticed there was no date on them. The date is on the edge of the coin. Date, ‘E pluribus unum’, and ‘In God We Trust’. Pretty cool huh? And speaking of coins, I just brought home a bunch in a ziploc baggie. I need to roll them so I can cash them in.

>I put in my new contacts this morning. I can actually feel the difference. Yesterday I finally called Lancôme to make an appointment for facials for Em & I. Ended up just she is getting a facial which is fine cause I really didn’t want one.
I saw a patch
of blue sky and now it is gone all I can see now are gray clouds. All I can smell is Fritos but for some reason they smell like corn nuts, I think I can smell aftershave or men’s cologne. Maybe it is the combination of smells.
We are the express train we are going fast, whoosh we just passed the local, whoosh we just passed Philipse Manor.
On another blog I was reading someone recommended a cold sufferer to use a ‘Nessi Pot’, she asked what is an Nessi Pot? I responded that I didn’t know what a Nessi Pot is but I use a Neti Pot and would post a picture of it on here. As you can see, I took two pictures.
This is used to rinse or cleanse your sinuses by pouring saline solution through your nose. The first few times I did it I didn’t do it right. Then I figured out how to use it. The first time I used it correctly, I thought I was going to DIE! Now that I have gotten a little better at it, I love it, it is great for cold and allergies, really helps me breathe better when I get stuffed up. Dr. Sharma recommends it too.

>Wanda’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman, ‘I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you a check.’
‘Oh, by the way don’t worry about my dog Spike. He won’t bother you, but whatever you do, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, talk to my parrot!’ ‘I REPEAT, DO NOT TALK TO MY PARROT!!!’
When the repairman arrived at Wanda’s apartment the following day, he discovered the biggest, meanest looking dog he has ever seen. But, just as she had said, the dog just laid there on the carpet watching the repairman go about his work.

The parrot, however, drove him nuts the whole time with his incessant yelling, cursing and name calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled…
‘Shut up you stupid, ugly bird!’

To which the parrot replied, ‘Get him, Spike!’
See – Men just don’t listen!
>we have a tank in our office. Well actually we have several, but this one is in my immediate area, with a big black and red fish Oscar. Every so often someone decides Oscar needs a tank mate and it usually does not end well. Last week someone put a fish in with Oscar and this morning it is belly up on the bottom of the tank. Maybe Oscar just got hungry over the weekend.
>I went to church and then I went to the gym. I feel so much better now. Not so slug like. I also went to Target. I don’t know if I mentioned it here, but my head was itching whenever I used the Paul Mitchel hair products. So I gave the one I bought to Em and went to Target to get Aussie. I also got a pair of leather mittens and gloves. I don’t remember if I still have a pair from last year, so I just got another one. Now I am looking at the bag with my winter stuff in it and there are two pairs of gloves in there. A nice pair, and a worn pair. The worn pair is the warmer of the two gloves and it is the one I use when I pump gas in the winter. Although, since I now have the garden gloves in my car, I might just keep on using them.
I got the second dress from Chadwicks. I got it a while ago and just have not worn it. I hadn’t even gotten it out of the package until this morning. Since the other dress was tight around the arms, I was a little worried this dress wouldn’t fit. Well as you can see, it fits just fine. I am trying to look like a model in this picture. I better keep my day job!
These is one of the dresses I posted about on my old blog. I don’t know if I mentioned the other dress came in first and it fits o.k., but is a little tight around the arms. I don’t know if that will ease up as I lose more weight, it is not so tight that I can’t wear the dress.
>And this is what happens, I miss some important news. Follow this link. Here’s another one. Follow this link.
O.K. For those of you who don’t like following links, the news is that Paul Newman died Friday. At first I thought I was really out of touch, then realized that Friday was yesterday. Thinking about it, I can’t decide which is my favorite movie of his. So I am going to one of those news articles and copy a picture to post here.
I chose this picture cause you can really see his blue eyes. I don’t think he looks as handsome in this picture as in some others, but his handsomeness is enhanced by his character and you can’t see that in a picture. That being said, he was really handsome and I was in love with him, even though he was married and older than my father!

I have started listening to my MP3 player again. I got some songs by Coldplay and have been listening to them. Five for Fighting has a song NYC Weather Report and one line is “New York City not so cute but ‘oh so pretty, when the rain falls.'” I did it like that because I am not sure I got the first part right. Anyway, I know what they mean, when its raining and everything is gray and the lights are shining through the rain, it is very pretty. This is the view looking up at the street from the subway.
Monday was the first day of Autumn and this week I have gone from sandals to boots. It could be that I have no shoes to transition between the two or maybe I only like sandals and boots or maybe shoes hurt my feet. My weight may not be where I want it, but I put my leather jacket on this morning and I was able to zip it with no problem. I am sending this from my phone, it counts the letters and I am trying to get to 500. I don’t think I will make it, oh I just did.
And now I am home and adding comments from my computer. I was supposed to watch my DVDs so I could return them, I ended up watching Discovery Channel, a show about a busy ER, medical mysteries, Dr. G. More medical mysteries. Now I am here and should be going to bed but I still have things to do. This is the building I work in and to the left is the Citi Building.
So I am going to leave now. Check my other e-mail and my shelfari account and then to bed.

>I didn’t get up today until 10:45. My head is pounding right now, I either need some caffeine or some food.
The dress I got fits, sort of, it is a little tight around the arms, and I wore the wrong bra, the straps were showing in the back. My green sweater matches so I wore it over the dress. It is the straight one with the graduated flower print. I just checked my mail and the WW website so I am going now to get some food. I may be back later.
I watched the first DVD of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the movie ‘Lemony Snicket’s – A Series of Unfortunate Events. It was kind of cute. Three orphans, a clueless banker and policeman, and a villain played by Jim Carey. I think I will watch another episode of Criminal Intent then go to bed. Maybe that will get rid of my headache.
