>I am been derelict in my thanks

>

I want to thank Brit Gal’ in the USA (see link below) for her black box, it is really fun. It is this box on her blog, that you click on your choices and it magically transports you all over the blog world. Well, that’s my explanation for it. Last night I went to a blog called “Random Chick” (I think), the first post I read mentioned TA DA “Brit Gal’ in the USA”, anyway, she had a link to a site where you could make your own seal, that is where I got my princess seal, click on it to go to the site and make your own seal. The next time I went to a blog by a man who calls himself, Ziggy, or Zaggy, maybe Jazzy(?) hmm, Jaggy! That’s it! (see blog list below, silly me). He is in Scotland, very interesting. So now I am following two blogs by British people and one by a Scotsman. And I owe it all to Sarah, the Brit Gal’. I limit myself to two times on the black box because I was warned it is very addictive. I already spend too much time on the computer.

Oh, and how did I find Sarah, through Bonnie or Sherri I forget, but you can find her through my link.

>Changed my mind

>I was just going to tack this on to the other post but well, thought I should start another. After I posted this morning, I went to Allsport with Em. Well, first we went to lunch at Panera, then after Allsport we went to the mall. Her DVD player quit and so she was thinking about getting another one. We ended up both getting portable DVD players, Philips, they are pink for Susan Komen Breast Cancer. After we got home, I went to the library to return my books and decided to pick up some movies to watch on my new DVD player. I haven’t yet because Forensic Files was on and then Primeval. So now I am back on my computer and don’t really have time to watch a movie.

On another subject, one of my dresses came. If it fits, I am wearing it tomorrow for service and the meeting.

Not much left to say, I am going to check WW and then maybe watch something on BBC America’s website.

>Book Club Girl is giving away ten copies of Philippa Gregory’s newest novel The Other Queen, plus ten Book Club Girl mousepads.

Check out the giveaway at Book Club Girl here.

Just had to adjust the time zone on this blog. When I posted my comment to enter to win this book, I wrote which books of hers I have read (if you are interested, check out the list on the right). I haven’t read any of her historical fiction about the royal family. I liked all the books by her I have read though. I am sure a lot of people will enter.

I also sent an e-mail to Peter Robinson. I have no idea why, I have never done, well, actually, I have been posting to Gary C. King on Shelfari.

>Last night I got out my album and put in the Concerts, Plays and Movies I have seen. I don’t know if it is a complete list, frankly, I don’t remember if I got information from anywhere else when I made the first list.

I added a Salada Tag Line, I am adding all the ones I get now even the ones I don’t like or don’t understand.

I was seriously considering leaving early but didn’t, now it is too late but I am having a hard time doing anything my head is hurting today. I don’t know if I should take Tylenol® or Aleve®. It is a headache but my neck is tight also. I just took 2 Aleve®. We will see how that works.

So the Aleve® sort of worked. I didn’t make it to Allsport but I did go to Borders. I used my two coupons to get a Zagat guide and the Moleskin New York book. I also got Love, Lies, and Murder by Gary C. King. He wrote Blood Lust which I loved. I was looking for Driven to Kill but they didn’t have it.

And Cookie sent me this ring. It is a secret why she sent it. All will be revealed later. I put it on because she asked me if I was wearing it, I took a picture and sent it to her.

And just in case you didn’t know, today is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Water Headlines

1) What’s in Your Bottle?
During this week of May 4-10 we are celebrating National Drinking Water Week. It’s easy to take for granted the fact that we have easy access to safe water in our homes – something that more than 1 billion people in the world can’t rely on. Every day, committed professionals who work for more than 52,000 community water systems provide water to 286 million consumers throughout the country. And during this time of escalating prices of everything from milk to gasoline, we should remember that tap water is a great value. The U.S. Conference of Mayors just released a study showing that, on a cost per ounce basis, municipal water is 1,000 to 4,000 times more affordable than bottled water. So, this week, fill your own bottle with safe, affordable water from your tap. Also, learn more about your water system, including how you can help to protect your drinking water source from contamination. Visit EPA’s web site at http://www.epa.gov/safewater for more information about the national drinking water program.

Have a Water Efficient Holiday!

Preparing for and cleaning up after a holiday meal can use much more water than an everyday meal. Running your tap continuously while preparing food or washing dishes wastes water and can use more than 2 gallons of water every minute your tap is running. That’s a lot when you’re cooking a big meal for extended family members and friends! A few simple and easy steps can help save water and energy. If you own a dishwasher, scrape dirty dishes rather than pre-rinsing them before placing them in the dishwasher. If you don’t have a dishwasher, fill the sink with a few gallons of wash water, clean your dishes and put them aside. Then, rinse them all together at the end. Either of these simple practices could save 10 gallons. If every household reduced 10 gallons on Thanksgiving Day alone, it would save more than 1 billion gallons of water. That’s enough for 1 million households with dishwashers to wash their dishes for a year. For more information saving tips visit http://www.epa.gov/watersense/
