>I hate having to wait until I get to work to eat. The thing is, I would have to get up at 4:00 am to be able to have breakfast at home. That is something that will never happen. So I am stuck just dealing with it. Real age says to lose weight you need to eat within an hour of rising. Maybe that is why my weight lose averages 0.4 a week and M’s is 2 pounds a week!
There is a raffle at GCT. Two cars, one is a gunmetal gray, Maserati Quattroporte and the other is a cherry red Maserati Gran Turismo. They are selling 400 tickets at $1,000 a ticket for the Quattroporte car. That means the car is $400,000. They are selling 300 tickets at $1,000 a ticket for the Gran Turismo, so it is only $300,000. Click this link to read the article in the New York Times. So someone is going to get a car worth at least $300,000 dollars for $1,000. It won’t be me, I am trying to sell the car I have! I remember another raffle they had, the Maserati was tangerine (really!) and the doors opened up. That was a very cool car.
I had a ‘only in New York’ thought when I was crossing the street coming into work from the 7 train. “Only in New York would you find a bunch of remotes scattered all over the street.”
My boss is still trying to get the address to my blog. He asked for an excerpt from it. I didn’t want to because I thought he meant send him a link to a post from the blog and then he would be able to find it, so he said no do a cut and paste. So I did the one from homecoming, making sure to take out any links to my blog in the document.

>I was reading Sarah‘s blog and she left this open to whoever wanted to do it so:
Here are the instructions: What you are supposed to do…and please don’t spoil the fun…Copy/paste, type in your answers and tag four people in your lists! Don’t forget to change my answers to the questions with those of your own.
A) Four places I go over and over: to the city (for work), to Manhattan (for shopping), to the gym, to Target.
B) Four people who e-mail me regularly: Michelle, Marie-Louise, Suzie, Marcia
C) Four of my favourite places to eat: Tavern-on-the-Green (new favorite), Outback, Bug-a-boo Creek, Panera
D) Four places you’d rather be: Central Park, Time Square, Grand Central Terminal, Top-of-the-Rock (Rockefeller Center)
E) Four TV shows I could watch over and over: Law & Order (all of them), Forensic Files, Primeval, Torchwood
F) Four people I think will respond: Vickie, Sherri, Bonnie, and Jennifer.
Have fun with this!
I picked these four photos to post. I was trying to post on WW about them and two times I got an error message. Now the page just won’t load. I am going to have some dinner then I will be back.
This first photo is the bleachers in the football field. Of course this field is used for more than just football, there is a track around the field. A few years back the Empire State Games were held here. The kids were able to volunteer for support services for them so that was a good experience for them.
Somebody brought their cute little long haired dachshund to the parade. I don’t know if it is a boy or girl, but the curly hair on the ears make me think its a girl. She looks like she is waiting for someone. She was very well behaved, didn’t jump around or bark or pull on her leash. Another reason I think she is a girl. She was so cute I just had to take her picture.
Here is the marching band, they are having to wait for traffic to clear, this is where Verplanck Ave, Cannon St., and N Cedar St. meet before you get to the football field. It used to be the police would put a car at N. Walnut and Verplanck to block traffic, but the past few years they haven’t done that. This year a big truck parked facing the wrong way on Verplanck so the band and rest of the parade could get into the football field.

And who is this? Could this be who Ms. Dachshund is waiting for? This is definitely a boy and you can tell by his blue shirt that he is a BEACON BULLDOG!
Now if you want to see all the pictures I took, there are not that many of them, look at the sidebar to the right, I put in a slideshow, next week I will move it down below the Manhattan one.
>I was tagged! Six weird and Random Things about me!
I was tagged by Jennifer’s Books for the six quirky things about me meme. This is the first time I’ve been tagged for a meme.
The rules are:
* Link to the person who tagged you
* Post the rules on your blog
* Write six random things/unspectacular quirks about yourself
* Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them
* Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog
* Let the tagger know when your entry is posted
Weird things about myself, in no particular order:
1) I can not sleep without a light on and things all over my bed.
2) Even though I was born and raised in America, I have been known to occasionally use British words, like dust bin, knickers and my favorite, knackered.
3) My favorite books are true crime and my favorite TV show is Forensic Files and my favorite Network is TruTV.
4) I would sell my children (if I had any) a kidney and ⅓ of my liver to live in Manhattan.
5) When I am in a bad mood and rude to people, I later tell them I have a twin and she is perpetually grouchy.
6) I talk to other car drivers, my cat, my friend’s bird, my computer and my car like I think they can understand me and then wait for an answer.
Now the question is who to tag next? I only know about 8 bloggers and most of them have been already tagged so I am tagging Viva Law Vegas.
>and I have to agree with ‘BOOW‘ that Lipton is rubbish. Actually I think he said that ALL American tea is rubbish.
Have I ever said that I like the way the British use the word ‘rubbish’? They use it for lots of things, not just when they are talking about trash. Also, I like the way my mouth feels when you say it, my lips smack together on the b’s.
Back to tea, I was going to try a British tea so I went to Amazon and ‘GASP’ $8.00+ for a box of tea?! Well, I’m American so I think I can be forgiven for sticking with Twinings. Besides I can buy Twinings loose. The loose tea is what is in the jar, which is actually an olive jar. I kept spilling the tea when I was wrestling with the tin it came in. These little jars are quite handy, I use one as a little bank on my desk at work.
Got these dollar coins when I bought M’s train ticket. I noticed there was no date on them. The date is on the edge of the coin. Date, ‘E pluribus unum’, and ‘In God We Trust’. Pretty cool huh? And speaking of coins, I just brought home a bunch in a ziploc baggie. I need to roll them so I can cash them in.

>I went to church and then I went to the gym. I feel so much better now. Not so slug like. I also went to Target. I don’t know if I mentioned it here, but my head was itching whenever I used the Paul Mitchel hair products. So I gave the one I bought to Em and went to Target to get Aussie. I also got a pair of leather mittens and gloves. I don’t remember if I still have a pair from last year, so I just got another one. Now I am looking at the bag with my winter stuff in it and there are two pairs of gloves in there. A nice pair, and a worn pair. The worn pair is the warmer of the two gloves and it is the one I use when I pump gas in the winter. Although, since I now have the garden gloves in my car, I might just keep on using them.
I got the second dress from Chadwicks. I got it a while ago and just have not worn it. I hadn’t even gotten it out of the package until this morning. Since the other dress was tight around the arms, I was a little worried this dress wouldn’t fit. Well as you can see, it fits just fine. I am trying to look like a model in this picture. I better keep my day job!
These is one of the dresses I posted about on my old blog. I don’t know if I mentioned the other dress came in first and it fits o.k., but is a little tight around the arms. I don’t know if that will ease up as I lose more weight, it is not so tight that I can’t wear the dress.
>And this is what happens, I miss some important news. Follow this link. Here’s another one. Follow this link.
O.K. For those of you who don’t like following links, the news is that Paul Newman died Friday. At first I thought I was really out of touch, then realized that Friday was yesterday. Thinking about it, I can’t decide which is my favorite movie of his. So I am going to one of those news articles and copy a picture to post here.
I chose this picture cause you can really see his blue eyes. I don’t think he looks as handsome in this picture as in some others, but his handsomeness is enhanced by his character and you can’t see that in a picture. That being said, he was really handsome and I was in love with him, even though he was married and older than my father!
