>Bedtime

>past bedtime actually. Story of my life, I am doing good if I get to sleep before midnight. Em and I went shopping this morning. I had coupon for Victoria’s Secret that I got when I ordered some things from them. $10 dollars off anything. So she got underwear and I got some sleep tops. You are supposed to wear them with pajama bottoms, but since I never wear the bottoms anyway, well I do, but not always.

We also went to JoAnn Fabrics and I got blue thread to sew on my patch. The patch had sticky stuff on the back, but the sticky stuff is not designed to hold the patch on the clothing you want to put the patch on. It looks very sharp if I do say so myself.

Other then that not much going on today. Em roasted chicken for dinner and baked brownies with sticky chocolate icing.

>Just hanging around

>Not much going on. I had a doctor’s appointment. My dermatologist so I left work early, got a sandwich at the deli and ate it in Central Park.
These are new, bleachers set up around Columbus Circle. I didn’t ask anyone, but I am assuming they are for the Macy’s 83rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade since this website says the parade comes past here.

While I was at Columbus Circle I also took this photo. Trees already decorated for Christmas, well I posted a picture in a previous post. I took that picture with my cell phone which is not designed for night pictures. Saturday I am coming back with my camera, see if the “night” feature works. Tigger is coming with me.

Also the Christmas fair has started at Bryant Park.Em and I ate at this restaurant, and I blogged about it here.

That’s about it.

>I am so glad it is Halloween

>Yes really, cause it means it will be OVER soon. I hate Halloween. Even so it was an O.K. day. Went to Allsport with Em, did the elliptical and weights. Then she and D went out to lunch. I was bored and wanted to go out, I also wanted lunch. Tigger mentioned candy corn, and so off we went, stopped to eat and I got a lemonade, which I managed to spill all over my jacket. It seems every time I wear that jacket I get something on it.

Then we went to Target where I had the second disappointment of the day. No regular candy corn, they had the ‘harvest’ candy corn and ‘caramel’ candy corn. So Tigger picked up some Hot Tamales and I got some milk duds. While leaving Target, Tigger turned to me and said, “Halloween has changed, it is no longer about trying to get free candy, now it is, how much like a whore can a pre-teen girl look?” He went on to say he just a girl, couldn’t have been more then 10 with a skirt just covering her butt.

Since I had already planned to go to the laundromat, the lemonade on the jacket was no big deal. I got Gwen to go with me, washed the jacket and my whites and put them in the dryer, and the jacket wouldn’t dry. When I got home my clothes from the other are also still not dry. The de-humidifier is gone, so I have a fan set up, hopefully it will help them dry so I can wear something Monday.

>An update from Buffalo

>Still here and my eyes feel like they are going to fall out of my head. Michelle has a cat and I am allergic, if I was home with our cat, I would have already gone downstairs to my cat hair free room.

I didn’t mention it before but we had pizza for lunch, then Michelle was talking about pizza for dinner, difference was the pizza place she was ordering from has gluten free pizza. Gwen and I shared, it was actually rather edible.

Now they are playing Mario Kart on the wii, after Fred made an extremely weird Mii.

>Columbus Day, A Parade!

>Em and I went down to the city yesterday, she said for the parade. We know it was really because she just wanted to go. We both had off work. Love civil service jobs sometimes.

After getting my nails done Friday, I was very upset to see one of them had broken on Saturday, I noticed it when I got in the car at Ron’s after getting ice cream. So that was the first stop. Then we walked up Fifth Avenue to watch the parade. There were some nice High School marching bands, some important people (that I didn’t recognize) and some floats. Em took some pictures then we continued our walking around.

We found another place to eat, I forgot to write it down, Maxie’s I think it was. Amazing food and this vodka and something and chambord liquor with melted white chocolate around the rim, deadly!

>Snow Patrol

>As I mentioned before, Tuesday we went to the Snow Patrol concert at the Beacon Theatre, it is really beautiful inside. Very ornate. It was a great show. The day leading up to it was not so great, including but not limited to a two mile walk from the subway to the hotel, in Queens!

Here is my ticket for Snow Patrol. It was an amazing concert. My seat was in the very top row, kind of in the corner. I wasn’t real happy with it, I was a little bit, “It’s too far up!”, until I realized that being in the last row meant I could stand and dance and not disturb anyone behind me. And being in the corner meant there was a place to put my purse and glass that I had my Makers Mark in that I was keeping as a souvenir. I got a key ring too. The key ring is for Snow Patrol, the glass is for the Beacon Theatre. If you are on Facebook and are my friend you can see the pictures. If not, hopefully by the time I post this the pictures will be in my slideshow. Or you can send me a friend request on FB.

Once we got to Manhattan, after checking into the hotel and getting a cab to the subway. Things got a little better. We walked up Broadway, somehow ended up on Amsterdam, found this little restaurant for dinner. Then the show, where I got asked for my I.D. for getting a glass of bourbon because the little girl serving didn’t think I looked over 30!

Tigger mentioned how ‘gay’ the lead singer was, that’s not the complete story, but I will talk more about that later. I am going to try to get up early tomorrow so I can blog some more. I am 4 blog posts behind my quota!

>And so on Friday

>I drove Stitch and Gwen up to DCC. Early, but I got to go home and lie back down, NICE! Gwen sent me a text saying I could pick them up at noon. There had been discussion on the way up, she had to borrow some equipment and didn’t know when it would be ready. Stitch’s late class had been cancelled.

The next message was that I could pick them up at any time because all of Stitch’s classes were cancelled! So I had to get up and go up to get them. Since it was early and Stitch was eating I got hungry so we stopped at Pizza Hut for lunch. I mentioned that I wanted to go work out before I went to get my nails done. The only disadvantage of not going to work was I now had to make an extra trip to Manhattan, the girl who does my nails is not in on Saturday. Gwen got this look on her face, she asked me if she could come with me. So then I had a companion for the long trip down and back. Also nice.

After getting my nails done we stopped at Starbucks, then when we got to GCT I was still hungry so I got a sandwich and Gwen got watermelon at Dishes. I dropped half my sandwich on the floor. Pfft! Clumsy me.

>On my way home from work, I started to get a sore throat. It was sore enough that I left church early. I decided to call in sick Thursday. Stitch was not happy when I told him I would need my car, D told him he could take the van to DCC, but Stitch hadn’t gotten around to getting a sticker to park the van at the college. That’s when Gwen suggested he park in visitors. After all, she said, there are people who come visit for the entire day.

Thursday it was raining so Em called me to ask if I could bring her lunch and give Tigger a ride home. I did it, even though I was feeling miserable, (the sore throat developing into a cold) because after all, I needed lunch too.

I can’t remember if I accomplished anything else Thursday. After all it is Sunday now and I forget. I did wash my new shirt so I could wear it Saturday.

>I’m not having such a great day

>After oversleeping and not getting to work until 8:10, I then realized I had no more oatmeal. I went across the street to get an everything bagel with cream cheese. Which he didn’t have, so I had to have one with butter *yuk* and it was burned.

My annoying co-worker is back from vay-cay and wasted no time getting back on my sh** list. A good thing that happened is I got a seat by myself on the MetroNorth train.

>Home today

>I took a sick day today. Last night I was feeling headachey and nauseous so I took a Tylenol PM and decided I would stay home today. So now I am feeling much better but not much like sleeping! I didn’t do much today. Stitch took my car, I guess up to the college ’cause Gwen was with him. They got ice cream cakes for our ‘Big Blackout Party’. I did let Tigger do some driving. We went to Ron’s for ice cream and I got a burger ’cause I didn’t have anything for dinner. He ate the eggs I made him, of course he douses everything in ketchup so he can’t really taste them. Not much else for today. See you soon.
