>for umbrella hunting, I thought, as I stood on the train platform in my hooded sweat jacket and polka dot rain boots. The weather had been cold and we got snow, then it cleared up and we had had bright, sunny days, but still cold. Now it had warmed up and was raining.

>I am seriously behind on my blogging. For that I apologize to my readers.
>I recently found this blog and encourage you to take a look and leave a comment. She has a unique perspective of New York City. Journal of a Displaced New Yorker
I keep forgetting to post things. After all this is supposed to be all about me right?
First off, I have made it to 2,000 visits. I would like to thank all my readers for making this moment possible. I even have a little tear in my eye, no wait, that’s an allergic reaction, sorry.
Second my little teapot came and I am so excited! I like it because it is cute and the strainer is a fine mesh so the tea doesn’t end up in the pot like my last teapot with a strainer included. The person who first blogged about it said it didn’t leak when you poured, which I didn’t really believe, I’ve never had a teapot that didn’t leak. Well she was right, it doesn’t leak! I posted a picture of it on Facebook and guess what? Now Em wants one! So I am not sure if I should get her one, or just send her the link. Decisions Decisions.
>to 2,000 visiters. Only 64 shy, that may change by the end of today. It only makes me sad when I start looking at other blogs that have say 20,000 hits for the year. I would say that having 32 followers, 2,000 hits in a year is pretty good! I also tell myself that I am sure there are many who read this blog in a reader and that doesn’t show up on the site meter.
I can’t say I will see you next year since there is always a chance I will be back this evening. I have a blog post rolling around in my head. Two actually, but if I don’t make it back tonight, I will see all of you next year!
>No not from New York, from my blog. It was, and I don’t know how else to say this, making my computer screen jump. I have a feeling it is due to the browser I use. In any case, if you would like it for your blog click here.
I also added it to my ‘Check out this blog’ on the side.
>Those of you who have been around for a while know I have more then just this blog.
Last night I was on my book blog Bella is reading … posting my latest review. I don’t go on that blog every day, just to post reviews and other book related news. My reading is way down this year. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my followers and saw that I have 50 followers on that blog!
Came back here to see I have 31! Wow! People are reading my blogs! I better shape up and watch my mouth!
Back to my life, I have been taking it pretty easy these past few days. Getting up when I want, doing pretty much whatever I feel like. Tomorrow it ends, back to work for a couple days, then off again. This week coming up is a three day work week. Nice huh?
>I started a ‘feature’ called Check out this blog a while back, to see the original post click here.
Now I have to decided to put them in a list in my sidebar. Check it out, since I am so creative I titled it, Check out this blog. The list of blogs at the bottom is old favorites, blogs that I have been reading for a while. I don’t know how long a blog will be on the Check out this blog list before I move it down. I am thinking I will limit the list to 10, and when I get more then 10, I will move some down. The blog The Foxx Loves the Yankees is mine and is (as you probably can guess) about the Yankees and other baseball stuff.
I have some other things to tell you, but it will have to wait until after breakfast.
>I am a real dork.
Example No. 1.
I thought I had a scratch on my eyelid. For about a week, give or take a few days, I was putting Vaseline and Neosporin on it, then one morning I was looking at it and said to myself, “That’s not a scratch, that’s eczema!” My doctor told me it would come back with the cold weather. So now I am putting that medicine on it and it is clearing up.
Example No. 2.
I got an e-mail from the Yankee Fan Club that Joe Girardi was going to be signing autographs at the AT&T store in Time Square. So I went there and planned to get an autograph and tell him something, and all I said was “Thank you.” For the full story, complete with pictues you will have to go to my MLB blog The Foxx Loves the Yankees.

I have some blogs that show up on my iGoogle home page, ‘Brit Gal in the USA’ is one of them. Today I saw the title of her post was Cute and Practical. So I clicked on it and up came this picture of this absolutely adorable tea pot! I want one, just in purple not pink. I know this one is not pink, but the one Brit Gal got is pink, that is why I said purple not pink. Anyway, I am definitely getting one. At least one, I might decide I need two, one for home and one for work.
If you would like a closer look at it you can click on the link to Brit Gal’s post or click here.
