>Almost forgot

>I have to start this so I have a post for today. I went to work, the train was empty and GCT was empty, it was kind of creepy. I will be back with more. Em is driving me crazy. I will explain in a minute.

The train was so empty I had a seat all to myself, granted a two-seater but still, it was nice. I told everyone at work I sprawled out and went to sleep. That wasn’t quite the truth but close! The Boss asked if I started to wonder if today was a holiday when I saw how empty GCT was. I didn’t, but that was because I knew a lot of people wouldn’t be there.

However, I was quite bored at work. Em and Tigger were texting me so that helped. D took the kids to see ‘The Tale of Despereaux’ which I wanted to see! So Tigger and I are going tomorrow. I left a little early from work and got home to find out that I am supposed to bring juice to the Bible study tomorrow. I really wish RP would call me on my cell phone for things like these. Anyway, Tigger wanted to go to the Verizon store, again, so he went with me. D had some things for me to get for him, I got some of them.

Em started texting me after I was home and on my computer, around 10:30 she sent me a text about the movie Marley and Me, then she sends a text that ends with “talk 2 u 2moro”. So I figure she is not going to text me anymore, so I go to BookGlutton and start reading in Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. Then she starts texting me again around 11:00 p.m. just as I am getting into the book. I was trying to give as generic answers as possible, hoping she would get the idea and she just kind of went on and on, until 11:20 p.m. about her city, and her jewelry and being tired. Well, that is all. Now I am going to bed.

>What I got

>I saw this thread on the WW message boards. So what I got today:

  1. I got the day off.
  2. I got to clean the litterbox.
  3. I got to watch the others play rail baron, the game that never ends.
  4. In a minute I will get to take out the smelly cat litter garbage.
  5. Then I will get to go for a drive. I am seeing if Starbucks is open, one of my invisibo friends said she was making a Starbucks run so now I am curious.
  6. I got to text Em, she is in Florida now.

>oolong tea

>I bought some yesterday, I really just wanted to use my debit card so I got the tea to push it up enough so I could justify it to myself. It is a very different flavor then what I am used to.

This morning I missed my train, I forgot there were no express trains today so instead of being able to take the 6:33 I was waiting until 6:44 and then I had no time to go to the bank this morning. One of the police puppies had a red Santa hat and beard on, what I thought was pretty funny was the way the dog was looking at the other officer’s cup of coffee like he wanted some. A man came over to take the dog’s picture. He was a very pretty dog. Then when I got to work I realized I had forgotten to get oatmeal, I don’t when I will be able to now since tomorrow is Christmas and I have to go to work on Friday. I will probably just take some of Em’s to eat.

Brian sent me a reply to my picture. Said he would have liked to have been on the other side of the camera and something else I’m not going to repeat. 🙂 My profile pic is one of the pictures I sent him. He is good for my ego, he thinks I am pretty.

>Cold today too

>It didn’t get up to 50ºF today, it barely got up past freezing. This time when I went out to lunch I wrapped my scarf around my head. I did that because I wanted to keep my ears warm and I didn’t want my hair flying all around. However, when I was writing down my purchase from Lowe’s in my book, I noticed that it said telescoping snow brush, so when I got to the train station I pulled it out, sure enough it said it goes to 54″ so I pulled it out, it was then long enough to push all the snow off my car. There is still a little on top that is frozen solid, but the big ‘snow hat’ is gone.

This morning I sprayed my perfume on after I put the scarf on, I thought I got my neck but evidently some got on my scarf, every time I picked it up to put it on I could smell my perfume.

Brian and I have been e-mailing each other a lot. It started when I sent him the picture of him in Lake Placid, then today I sent him a link to my pictures from NYC with Em and Stitch and Fred. Then the e-mails got a little silly, so I sent him this picture. I am waiting to hear what he thinks of it. I also sent him the link to the rest of the Lake Placid pictures. I hope he likes all the pictures I sent.

>I want to know

>

I want to know, where you go
When life is too much
And trouble is too close to touch

I want know, where you go
When rain is everywhere
And all around you is despair

I want to know, where you go
When your head fills with screams
And the night has dark dreams

I want to know, this place that you go
Is it a house, with warm cozy rooms
When lightning flashes and thunder booms

Or is it a forest awash in sunlight
Birds all around sing songs of delight

I want you to know; wherever you go
I hope you are safe
But more than that,

I hope you come back.

>Frigid day

>It was a good thing we didn’t go to Manhattan today. It was very cold. I went to get my lunch and my ears about froze off! I still have a little headache from the cold.

Yesterday when Tigger and I were driving around, we say this car and the only thing the drive had cleaned off were the lights and enough of the windows to see out off. We laughed at it, a snowcar! Today while I was waiting for the train, because I missed mine, I looked across the parking lot and saw just the opposite, a car without a trace of snow on it! The owner must have a garage. My little car has clean windows but the top still has a bunch of snow on it. It hasn’t gotten warm enough for the snow to melt and slide off.

Tigger wants to go into Manhattan tomorrow. Of course we can’t, I tried to explain it to him. He thinks I can just not go to work. I told him we can go another day, maybe next week. Em suggested next Monday. He was said he wants to go tomorrow because the temperature is supposed to get up to 50ºF. I didn’t see that when I looked at the weather report. I will have to check some other sites.

As for my Weight Watchers progress, I weighed 138.4 this morning, I have lost 1.8 pounds this week. That means I am only up 6.4 from when I first started Weight Watchers.

>Change of plans

>Tigger and I were going to go into Manhattan tomorrow, but he bailed on me. His leg is hurting, well he and his brothers did a lot of snow removal this weekend. He probably pulled a muscle, Em said he should go to work it out, but he decided he didn’t want to go and do a lot of walking. So I have decided to go to bed early, I am just going to finish up this post.

Since I am not taking Tigger to Manhattan, I am going into work they will be surprised, since I told everyone I was not going to be in. I will just have to say, “Change of plans.”

I waxed my bikini line, I put my lavender bath oil on so now I am kind of tingly and smell like lavender. I like the smell and it does ease the burn of the waxing process. After all this time of doing it, just tonight I discovered that you need to stir the wax after you heat it.

So now I just have a few things to do before I sleep. I have done most of my routine, but I need to do a couple things on line.

>Canceled, probably because of the snow. I don’t know for a fact because I have not been upstairs yet.

Last night when I plugged in my I-pod to add the song Tigger bought, I-tunes said it had an update, so I downloaded it, then the computer said it need to restart so I said O.K., well the computer froze on the restart. I had to unplug the laptop and wait for it to shutdown, I turned it back on so and it was still frozen! So I unplugged it again, it turned off, I waited an hour, still frozen. So I unplugged it and left it over night. As you can see, it is working now but when I woke up this morning I was a little unsure about turning it on, when I did, I got the frozen screen said Oh No, then it went off and the computer finished the start up. I should remember from now on, to shut down the computer, this has happened before.

So now I am just sitting here blogging and listening to the radio, I just combined Tigger’s station with mine. OK, I don’t really like this song, but its not horrible. I clicked ‘I don’t like this song’ once before and I got this cute message, “We’re sorry! We’ll never play it again.”

Anyway, I forgot to check back in with Weight Watchers message boards so I need to do that now.

>Saturday Saga

>Book study was canceled this morning. I stayed up late working on my blogs, which are now complete, new blogs made, old blog post exported in and all my widgets in place. Anyway, I slept in this morning, till Tigger came and knocked on my door. Well, I was awake, just not up. Em wanted to borrow my train, no that’s not correct, she wanted to use my tickets so she and D could go down to the city, he’s back from his business trip. They didn’t go, they decided Harold Square would be too crowded.

I went to the bathroom, like I do every morning, and I felt water dripping, I thought it was the sink, then I realized the toilet was overflowing(ew ew ew!), so I grabbed my plunger and started plunging and it fell apart, literally, after the water went down there was a big piece of it in the toilet. I went upstairs to get dirty towels to soak up the water, Tigger had to come down to help me because I didn’t have my contacts in and couldn’t see where the water was. He came down to help which including carefully stepping in the bathroom to grab my glasses for me, the pair that is normally in my bedroom was not there. We got the water mopped up and I then mopped the floor with my lavender floor cleaning stuff and put the towels in the washer.

I knew I had to get a plunger, I really didn’t want to go out by myself so I asked Tigger if he wanted to go to the Verizon Store so he went with me. I left him at the Verizon store to get a fat free latte and cookie, then we went to Home Depot. We found a shovel that expands that will fit in the hatch of my car and looked at ice scrappers (didn’t like any of them) then went looking for plungers. There was one aisle that was closed for ‘safety reasons’ and guess what down that aisle? Yes the plungers, so we walked down the aisle and asked if we could get the plungers and the man said yes (I was glad, he was scary looking!) then as I was getting one, Tigger said, “You don’t have to get the cheapest one.” It was $2.98 plus tax, and they only had one kind. Then when we went to leave, the man had pulled the adult baby gate (seriously! it looked like a baby gate only adult sized) closed so we couldn’t get out(He did let us out). Tigger said, “He locked us in, and he is scary looking!”

Then we went to Lowe’s to see if I could get an ice scrapper there. The traffic was unbelievable. Tigger waited in the car. They didn’t have exactly the scraper I wanted, but I got this really cool snow brush with a scrapper, it is really long and I will be able to clean the top of my car off with it. I did get a scrapper, it looks like it will do the job. Then we came home. But that’s not the end of my ‘Saturday Saga’.

When I came in my bedroom and turned on the light, it burned out. So I had to go upstairs to get a light bulb and turn replace the bulb. Then I went to flush the toilet and plunge it out, as I was plunging, the bowl on the plunger turned inside out, so now I had a stick with a bowler hat on it. I turned it right side out and finished the job, then I turned it back inside out and asked to Tigger to come downstairs, when he did, I stuck my head out of the bathroom and said, “Maybe you were right.” He said what and I showed him the stick with a bowler hat and said, “I shouldn’t have got the cheapest one.” I can’t describe his face, but he got a laugh out of it.

Anyway, now I am hungry, so I am going to go eat something.
