So what are you waiting for………

Kill your Manager 🙂

D left today

Business trip. Em drove him I went along for the ride. I took my little notebook along. Was planning on a nice entry, all I got was:

Going to Newark with D and Em. He going to Toronto. Em wants me to be sure I know way back
I am trying to write down directions as we go but D’s driving makes me sick.

So did you understand any of that? OK I will explain. D left from Newark, and I went with D and Em to the airport. Reason being, when they fly to Puerto Rico, I will be taking them to the airport and Em wanted me to ride along so I could be sure to know the way home. That doesn’t bother me. What worries me is when I have to drive to the airport by myself to pick them up when they are coming home. Did I ever tell you about picking Em up in Buffalo when we lived there? I couldn’t find the airport. Yes, that big place with the planes.

The rest of this evening was spent playing with the Wii, I got Tigger to make a Mii for me. Then I played bowling with Gwen, then tennis with Stitch, then baseball, then I let Tigger take over with the baseball. Then he and Stitch started playing tennis. That is where I left them. I realized it takes awhile to download a movie and I wanted to download a movie for Em and I to watch tomorrow. There was a major snowstorm forecast for tonight but it hasn’t started yet. The snow that is. I was really hoping for a snow day tomorrow.

1502earringsnailsHowever I promised to write more about Manhattan. First, I had the address of the salon wrong, not the address the cross street. As we stood there and looked at the street sign, Em said, I have West down and this is East, that means the salon is on the other side of Central Park. So we had to walk across Central Park and the up Columbus, because you can’t go straight across the park. We had to stop for lunch then. Em was good and had a salad but I was bad and had a burger, but it was good. On to the salon. Em wanted a spa pedicure and when they asked her which kind she was confused, they had 4 different ‘flavors(?)’ of salts, I guess you would call them. I had a regular pedicure but it included getting my legs exfoliated with some citrus smelling stuff. I also got a leg massage, which I told you about. My calves were still sore this morning! Since I have gel nails, I needed a fill so I had to wait to get my nails done. The lady that did my pedicure gave this little girl a manicure, green polish on one hand and sparkly red on the other. Her mother said, “Now when you get your nails done, you can’t bite them.” In a very soft voice the little girl said, “I won’t mom.” Kind of a sighing voice, like, “Mom, you’ve already told me a hundred times.” Of course Em and I think, since she is a former nail biter and I am a friend of a former nail biter, that its not going to work. But the nails looked very pretty. As do mine now, however if I keep talking about manicures and posting pictures of my nails, I am going to have to change the name of my blog to either Fashionista Bella or Nail Diva Bella, and those are the earrings I bought to replace the earrings I lost, and no I didn’t find them, but I did find my hockey puck.

hockypuckIt’s not really a hockey puck. It is a backup for the computer, like a flash drive. It has been ‘lost’ for over a year, and when I tore my bed apart looking for my earrings, cause I was sure they fell out of the pocket of my sweater when I took it off, and I took it off when I was standing at my bed, I found it on the plywood that is under my mattress. I have no idea how it was there for so long and I never saw it, but . . . I now have it, which is good. I can back up my documents now.

>New York NY

>Yes, Em and I went to the city again. Daryl came through for me and recommended a place to get a manicure and pedicure and it was fabulous! One problem, I got a leg massage and now my calves feel like someone was kicking me.

So my nails are blue, they match the sweater I was wearing. I got earrings to replace the earrings I lost. I will probably find them now. And Em found the perfect red sandals. I wanted to get another pair of shoes that I saw there, but Em said I wasn’t allowed to get the same red as she had. Piffle! Didn’t need shoes anyway. I was going to tell you more but I am too tired.

>Bedtime

>Just a quick HI! before I head off to bed. I got offered a book for review today and I accepted it. Told the person, I can’t promise I will like it, I will only promise to be nice if I don’t like it. He accepted that. So now I have two books to read for review. And four library books to finish. Then after that I have to get back to my challenge books.

In the month of February I only read two books. Mainly cause one was dud. The other one wasn’t as bad as the first, but it also didn’t grab me.

Tomorrow Em and I are going to Manhattan, this time I am taking a book. I think it will be ‘Love in the Time of Cholera’. It is one of my challenge books and I have the train ride to read, maybe while we are getting our nails done too. I will stick it in the pink crocheted bag I have. Em is taking her new camera and so I don’t have to take mine.

>Back to the gym

>I really wish I had my car in the evenings. Then Em wouldn’t have to take me to the gym. She really prefers exercising earlier, I do to but I don’t have a choice. If I get approved for this 9/10 work schedule I really won’t have time earlier, since I’ll be getting home later, well except for every other Wednesday, then I’ll be able to earlier but just those Wednesday.

D is leaving for Toronto Sunday. Em told me that Tigger said he doesn’t think her i-pod will hook up to her TV, so that means we either have to banish the children from the living room (HA!) or watch it on my laptop. I don’t have a problem watching it on my laptop. So its up to her.

Phantom of the Opera is on my I-pod now. I also got a Phantom ringtone. I am so excited.

>So so

>That is how my internet connection is, so I am typing this in a hurry to get it in here.

The tickets for Phantom came, they are safe and sound in my underwear drawer. Well at $XXX each I wasn’t about to risk putting them someplace where I would forget them!

Em has a list of movies for us to watch when D is in Toronto. Full Metal Jacket, Signs of Live (One for Sorrow, Two for Joy), Mystic Pizza and/Or Thumbsucker. This is what I was doing today when I should have been working. Besides plotting ways to kill my very annoying co-worker, who almost got flattened when he raised his fist to me.

>Once again

>

Once again, I promised myself I would get up when my alarm went off.

Once again, I stayed up too late (this time I was reading The Devil's Feathers)

Once again, I was rushing around throwing on clothes and slapping on foundation and blush (this cold has drained all color from my face. With the exception of my nasal mucus, it is now a icky green)

>Pretty blue phone.

>Stitch got a Blitz. Small and blue, like Stitch. He is at class right now so I am waiting for him to get home before I activate it, since he won’t be able to use his phone once I activate the new phone. He is really excited to get it. So is Tigger. I broke my rule and let Tigger play with it a little, now it is sitting in its box and I am sitting on my bed waiting for Stitch to get home.

Not much else to say, except I wish I had stayed home to nurse this cold a little longer. And that is a pain dealing with some of my co-workers when I am well, so dealing with them when I don’t feel well is . . .

I made Em and my appointment for a massage today, no the appointment is not today, I called today. Still haven’t got the tickets for Phantom, but the charge went through.

Right now I am going upstairs for a cuppa. I will be back tomorrow.
