>As I type this I am a little scared because the wind is blowing ferociously outside, well yes, I guess it is good it is outside, I can hear it and I can hear the snow shovel(it hangs on the outside of the shed wall under the deck) banging against the shed. I can also hear the leaves getting blown all around. It was starting as I got home from Target so it seems I missed the worst of it, I just have to listen to it. I am also freezing from it because the wind always blows my window open when it gets bad.

Anyway, to get back to my post title, my mom called, she got the Hershey pillow I sent her. So I was all excited because the other package I mailed was going to someplace close to where she lives, as soon as I could I checked my e-mail to see if the other package made it, no e-mail. So then I checked on the message board posts to see if it got there, no post. So now I am a little disappointed. Well, maybe tomorrow.

I have to go now and hang up my laundry. That was one benefit staying home, I got a load of laundry done. Oh and I stopped at the library and got the following book: The nine days queen: a portrait of Lady Jane Grey by Mary Luke. It is a biography.

>Good morning

>Saturday morning and I should be up and getting dressed, but I stayed up late last night playing on here and finishing Helter Skelter. I didn’t have time to write my review. I will have to do that after we get home from the city.

Em and I are taking Stitch and Fred this time. It should be interesting since it is cold and Stitch is a whiner. The whole day has been carefully planned out this time.

There was something else I was going to say and it has ‘poof’ disappeared. But I really have to go.

>They got shaved!

I haven’t seen any pictures, cause I am still at work, but Em said it was cool. The press didn’t show up so Tigger won’t be on TV, but he might be on the NYS DoH Website. I am going to check there in a minute. If he is, you can be sure I will be posting a link here when I get home.
It was raining this morning, so today has been a cold rainy day. When I got to work my jeans were damp on the back of my leg. I don’t have a clue how that happened. My asthma is also bothering me. I was a little late today, just couldn’t get moving, and then I had to stop and get milk for my oatmeal, tomorrow I have to get up on time and make the early train. Except Stitch will be driving me tomorrow so that might not work. Anyway, it was cold windy and gray when I went to lunch, it had stopped raining though, so it was a nice walk. I just had my yogurt and soup and now my tummy is full. The sun is now trying to break through the clouds and I wish I was outside.

There wasn’t an article in the Poughkeepsie Journal, but there were pictures, I would post a link but it will only be there for a short time. Tigger wasn’t in any of the picture. He filmed it and that is going up on You-Tube, I will be posting that link when it goes up and I find out the name of it.

>Forgot again

>What I was going to say. Very cold today, had to scrape the windows off this morning. Fortunately I had started her a few minutes before we went out so some of it was already melting. And where was Stitch while I was doing this? Huddled in the car cause it was cold.

Then when I was on the train I realized I had forgotten my scarf. Don’t know why I didn’t realize it before, then when I got off the 7 train I couldn’t find my hat.

Tigger wants me to take him to the Verizon store to see the new Blackberry Storm. Besides the fact that there will be about a million people there, I am getting an MRI. I totally forgot about Ann’s jewelry party when I made the appointment. Oh well maybe Em will buy me something.

Me again (2nd e-mail) in my favorite hiding place. I just drank 1.5L of water straight from the fridge and now I am freezing. The main problem with my hiding place is the poor or no connection. Which means this may never get where it is going. I have gotten a lot done today. So now I am going to say good-bye and do some more.

I am now home and will be leaving for my exam in a minute or two. I have to brush my teeth, put on lipstick etc etc. I don’t know why I am so nervous. Well, now I am nervous I won’t be done in time to get a latte before I have to get Gwen I have to pick her up at Panera at 9:00. My test is scheduled for 7:50, so if it goes longer than 30 minutes I will be late.

D took Tigger to see the storm, he said they didn’t stay long because D didn’t really like it. But Tigger likes it.

>So tired today

>You may have noticed that my list of books read in 2008 is not on the side or anywhere else on this blog. I put it on my ‘book’ blog. That is why I am so tired, I was up to 1:00 a.m. doing it. You see, I wanted to link the books to the reviews I had written, that meant I had to search for them, since I combined reviews on posts with other stuff, I couldn’t just look at the title of the post. Fortunately, I was using labels so I got most that way.

This morning Stitch drove me to the train. It was pretty cold but I started the car a few minutes before we left for the train so it was pretty warm in the car. Also this morning I learned that if your earbuds get yanked out of your ears, it doesn’t feel good.

>Sometimes

>Sometimes I feel like an idiot. Right now is one of those times. What causes these episodes? Little things, like yesterday I forgot my make-up and protein water and today I again forgot to grab a protein water and my cell phone. I mean I have my ‘city’ one, but only a few have that number. Also, I can’t access my e-mail account with this phone. Well I can, but I don’t know how much the cost is.

Last night Em said the forecast was for snow and we got it! If I wanted to be poetic, I would say there was a whisper of snow on my car this morning, not even enough to brush off, the wind blew it off pulling out of the driveway. It was wicked cold though. The sky is trying to peek through the clouds right now, but I’m sure it is still wicked cold out there. I will find out in 15 minutes, I have to leave to get my allergy shots today.

Em asked me to pick Gwen up after my shot, so I am going a little early. I sent Gwen a text message, but I don’t know if she will read it, she doesn’t know about my ‘city’ phone. I will just send her another one from my other phone when I get home. Since I need to start getting ready to leave, I am going to send this and I will be back later.

>Rainy Saturday

>The kids are watching Journey to the Center of the Earth, when I asked Gwen why she said, “Because its a science fiction movie with no purpose!”, I was going to ask her to help me write my account number on my quarter rolls so I can take them to the bank today, I guess I am doing it on my own.

Em is working, she sent me a text asking me to make the rain go away. If I could, I would, was my response. Of course, my phone was off so I didn’t get the message until a little bit ago and she is probably doing something where she can’t respond or the phone ringing is an annoyance. Oh well.

My only plans for today are to go to the bank and go to Allsport. I let you know if I do anything exciting. I am going to put my quarters in my account for my I-Pod Nano. I forget how much I have, $30 or $40 I think. I’ll let you know.

>Should be in bed

>I watched the James Bond movie I borrowed. It was due Monday so now I have to pay a fine. The name of the movie is Casino Royale. I read more in my LibraryThing book on the train. And after the movie I finished Club Dead. I think I have them out of my system so I can read something else now.

Two only in New York moments, when I was walking to the subway, there was this girl/woman, wearing a black and white plaid coat, she was holding the color against her face to protect it from the wind, with gray pinstripe pants and pointy black heels, here is the New York minute, she was running across a 4 lane road in those heels! And here is the other NY minute, only in New York could it be too warm for a jacket, and the very next day, be too cold for the very same jacket!

>Rocky Start

>to today, I was so sick. I didn’t think I had drank that much but this morning I woke at 5:00 a.m. and my mouth was dry and my head was pounding. I got up, drank a couple glasses of water and took some Tylenol®, I then laid back down. Well, I was soon back up and throwing up. Until almost 8:00 a.m. I remember lying on the bed and thinking, I have to get better, how else will the car get back to Region 2? Obviously I survived, although I was positive for a while I wouldn’t make it.

This was what my car looked like when I walked out to it. Of course there was no scrapper or snow brush in it. A couple of guys that were in the same conference helped me out with cleaning off the car. Coming home I made excellent time. I didn’t get lost and I didn’t make any stops. Then everyone here was feeling crummy so nobody did anything. I think maybe I wasn’t hung over this morning because my tummy is still kind of unhappy. I have to go take my contacts out. Then I think I will make some tea and drink my tea and read some blogs.

Lake Placid

1294lakeplacid081028They have internet (WiFi) in the rooms here. Good thing because I can’t get a signal in the room we are having our training in. Training is over for today, dinner is in 15 minutes so I will have to go and come back later. I just opened the door to my ‘balcony’ its about a foot wide, and took this picture. Yes, its real snow.

So I am back now, and if you knew what time it was or how much I had to drink, you would be saying, go to bed girl! I think this classifies as drunk blogging. We played this game after dinner, then a bunch of us went to a bar, then another bar, cause the first bar closed. The first bar had a beer called Just Hutched (the brewers name is Hutch and he just got married) and it had lavender in it. I just put on my lavender lotion and it is making me think of it. Now it is 1 a.m. and I just got out of the bath and my head is somewhere else, but not on my shoulders I am sure. It is too hot in this room. I know that for sure.

I was going to say that this morning the sky went from black, (and raining) to gray (and raining) then it was ta da! White, and snowing. Then when I got to where the training was it was back to gray. I saw the ski jumps where the Olympians train, tomorrow I am going to try to get a picture of them. I also want to get some pictres of Lake Placid. So far the only souvenir I have is a token from the bar we went to. And I only have that because Brian bought me my second beer.
