>Made a mistake.

I have to correct a prior post, this information is from the NY Times website, section On This Day.

On This Day in History Monday, December 08th

1980 Rock musician John Lennon was shot to death outside his New York City apartment building by Mark David Chapman. The former Beatle was 40.

They’re going to kick me out of the fan club for this.

>so much for an early evening. Took Fred to BHS play and now he wants to ‘talk to people’. I was going to rush him out I was so tired, then he pointed out I don’t have to go tomorrow, I’ll just wait and see what happens tomorrow morning.

>New bank account

>I decided to open a new checking account. I was planning on starting my savings account with this bank in the new year, you know, the one for my move. So I just to start earlier. Besides I just got an overdraft due to partially my own stupidity and partially the banks way of posting transactions. Anyway, I just got tired of it so I went and opened a new account. Now begins the process of changing things around. I already changed Amazon, I have to wait for my card to change some other things.

The box of books (well it wasn’t a box actually, it was a package no matter) has finally found it’s way to my bed where they are lying all scattered about. I put them in Shelfari and LibraryThing and put them in a post to be published on Monday for Mailbox Monday. Now I just have to find a place to put them until it is time to read them.

Tigger downloaded some episodes of Law & Order: C.I. for me. I have the 16GB I-Pod and so the whole season fits. What fun! I tried to find a nice picture to post here but couldn’t. I had to tell Em and she told me to shut up!

😛 to her.

Tigger filmed this, so he is not in it. But he did a good job! And so did all the kids that collected the money. One small error, she said 5 lunch periods, there are only 4, but the kids dug deep and gave all their spare change. I posted about this previously. Click here to read it.

>Lazy day

>I woke with a tummy ache. Not bad, but I didn’t feel like getting up, so I stayed home and I am posting this from my bed. Since I haven’t been up, I don’t have much to say, but I have to get up and do some cleaning, maybe some laundry and run an errand. Tigger ate all my Skittles® and SweeTarts®, so I am thinking maybe I will go up to Target. I have limited funds since I don’t get paid until tomorrow, but since I didn’t go to work today, I can spend the $10 I have left on candy.

As I type this I am listening to the radio, on my computer! I put in a band I listen to, so they played a song by them, then the next song, by a different band, that I also have the album! I thought that was kind of neat. So far I have liked every song they have played. You can rate the songs so it ‘customizes’ the songs played.

Anyway, I should get moving since I have to pick up some books from the library, except I changed my mind about reading them. I should also enter the books I got from Pam and Aggie in Shelfari(they are still in boxes in my closet) before I get the next shipment from her. I probably should do that now.

>manhattan

>I am sorry I didn’t get to this sooner. The first thing I was going to talk about was how unbelievably crowded the train was. I doubt there was a single empty seat on it and this was by Garrison. That means of course the city was unbelievably crowded. It was like those commercials you see where there is just a wall of people walking at you, except none of these people knew how to walk. I was ready to tell them to get out of my city.

We had lunch at one of these metro cafe places and went to Strawberry Fields, of course there were a lot of people there, well you can see by my picture. I also took pictures of the Dakota, you can see them in the slide show I put on my blog.

We went to the Empire State building but when we got up to where you bought tickets the line was huge. We went to our favorite dinner place then to GCT for some shopping. I found a book for Em that was a history of Manhattan and she got me a pocket calendar. The boys got a book with cat pictures and funny captions.

They both passed out on the train.

>And I almost forgot to post. And I didn’t blog about yesterday and never wrote my review for Helter Skelter, and Tigger took the book so I don’t have it to refer to. Well I do want to post this one picture I took yesterday. All the pictures I took yesterday are in a new slide-show on the sidebar. We went there on Saturday and today is the anniversary. Then I am going to bed.

>Leaky Pipes – Factoid

>Did you know each day approximately six billion gallons of treated drinking water are “lost” primarily due to system leaks throughout the United States? This is approximately 14% of the nation’s total daily water production. (Reported by American Society of Civil Engineers)

Tigger was supposed to put Em’s necklace in her room today. If he did, it was after she got dressed, she has been e-mailing me and had not mentioned it. She just asked if I wanted to go work out with her after work and I am like, oh yeah sure, (if you don’t kill me first!) I didn’t say. I sent Tigger a text message, even though I am not supposed to send him text messages when he is at school, ‘This is killing me! She keeps e-mailing me!’

So I am driving myself crazy today. I can’t concentrate on work and I really need to. On top of that, the payment for my parking came out of my checking account early, (I never know what day they are going to take it out, very annoying) and when I figured out how much was left, I was about a dollar over, I forgot about my second checking account and was asking her if she could loan me money at the same time thinking, she is really going to kill me now. Then I remembered, I could just transfer money from my other checking account. Problem solved. Except for her reaction when she finds the necklace. As Tigger said last night, “She’s going to kill both of us.”

All the way home Tigger was keeping me informed of what was going on, she came home, left for WW, didn’t see it, so he moved it. She came home from WW, went up to take a nap, still didn’t see it, got up from her nap and still didn’t see it. When I got home, we were both ready to jump out of our skins. So he comes up to me with this face and I said, ‘It’ll be all right.’ And Em says, what? So I told her, there’s something in your room he wants you to find. She was like, in MY room? So she runs upstairs to look for it. And we laughed as we told her all the things we went through. Then she and I went to work out.

>Yesterday

>my I-pod arrived. Tigger wanted to come downstairs to ‘see’ it, it looks just like Em’s I said. Except it has my name engraved on it. So then he says, if you need any help call me, yeah right sure says I, well less than 10 minutes after I plugged it in I was on my phone asking him for help, and 2 more times after that! I got all my songs on it though I had to do them one at a time, add them to the I-Tunes library, then copy them to the I-Pod Nano. I brought it to work and the only reason I am not listening to it is because the ear buds don’t fit my ears and hurt them and fall out. I really wish I had normal ears.

I went to Bryant Park, back to where Em got the earrings and got the black pearl necklace to wear with it. Only Tigger knows and he promised not to tell, I only hope I don’t let the cat out of the bag. Anyway, it was $20 off and I got a free notebook. I think I am going to use the notebook as a book journal. It has a hard cover and I can stick it under my pillow and the pages won’t get ruined.

Right now all I do with my book journal is write the book title and when I finished it. Since I have started writing reviews, I want to put a little more in my journal. I think this book will work nice, since you can take pages out and put them back in. I mean, you can move them around. So if you read something ahead of something else you can keep your pages in the right order.
